I consider this a win. I would rather see them go with Barry (the defense in SD was awful the past 2 years) rather than go with Wade. I think everybody here would agree that Wade was a good D-Coordinator. Guy that would know the Dallas offense and Romo pretty well. And they didn't end up with Schwartz (who I think is good, but I wouldn't label as great).

I don't think it makes much of a difference though, they don't have a QB and I think their HC came off as clueless last season.

I slightly disagree. He was at one time. I don't think he is anymore. The Texans were better on defense this year than they were last year when Wade was their DC.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Either there is some tug of war going on behind the scenes in Commander Land or Rapoport is just horrifically wrong again.

I'm really hoping Barry isn't hired. I'd like to have a DC with a better track record than the guy who presided over a defense that gave up 400 yards/game and while in Detroit, was a part of the staff that coached a winless team. I'll pass.

It looks like Fangio isn't getting the HC position in San Fran, maybe they can finally be allowed to interview him.

Belichick sucked at first as well.

Granted, his record as a DC with the Giants bought him alot of leeway - more than Gruden will get, that's for sure.

Fangio maybe a one year maybe two stop job because I think he will be a head coach somewhere soon.

That would be fine by me. If he can get this defense going in the right direction, and when he moves on to the inevitable HC position somewhere maybe we can promote someone on the staff to his position. Keep the same playbook and scheme. Hell, if Jay Gruden continues the way he's going he could be our next HC.

We sign Fangio to a 4-5 year contract so he's not eligible to do HC. Gotta keep the gang together.

He's absolutely allowed to become a HC if a job comes up. He just can't take another D-Coordinator position.
