I just wanted to bring up some common misconceptions that fans usually blurt out about our players. You guys feel free to add yours as well.

1. Our O-line is not physical in the run game:

Are you kidding me? I believe we might be the most physical O-line over the last 2 years in driving the 2 DTs and the MLB off the LOS. If anybody's watched Gurode, Bigg and Kosier over the last 2 years, they'll notice that immediately.

Where we suffer in the run game is sometimes getting to the 2nd level. But I believe most of the mistakes are mental mistakes and those made by our TEs and FBs. And this includes Witten. I also involves inadequate blocking by our FBs at times. But physicality of our O-line, esp the interior, is not even a question.

2. Jason Hatcher is weak against the run:

I've heard this mentioned several times but just haven't been able to substantiate it by watching the games. This guys has been very active against the run in both 07 and 08. He even holds his own against double teams in the limited opportunites he gets.

Ironically, he doesn't show much in pass rush, which is assumed to be his strong suit. He occasionally flashes unique ability in this field, but a lot of the time, he just runs into the OL and tries a futile bull rush.

I have some more of these that I can get back to later on.

Talent in the roster is solid in all positions, mental toughness and self motivation have been lacking.

You can say that but it's still an oversimplification. Talent has its strengths and weaknesses.

The biggest misconception about these Dallas Cowboys is that Tony Romo doesn't show up in big games, a choke artist if you will. Couldn't be further from the truth.
