-----------Weight--Arm length--10 yard split-40 yard --board jump--vertical jump--20 yard shuttle--cone--reps
Bosa------269-----33 3/8------------1.69--------4.86------10'1'-------------31 1/2------------4.21--------------6.89---24
Taco-------277-----34 1/4------------1.63--------4.83------9'7"--------------33-----------------4.39--------------7.17---25
Garrett----272-----35 1/4------------1.64--------4.63------10'6"------------41-----------------------------------------------33

Taco's 10 yard split was from pro day, which was 0.07 faster than in the combine - possibly due to ankle injury. 40 time was also almost 0.1 faster on pro day.
Cone and Shuttle scores were from combine so he could be slightly better in those.

You forgot to add a line for holding out and no show for off-season program.

The ones that are good are good immediately. The ones that are bad are bad immediately. If Taco is going to be good I'd bet on it showing quickly rather than in 2 years.
I disagree at the DE position. At DE it could take two years for a good player to get get it. Obviously there are some who have excelled immediately but there are more who don't jell until year two. Now for bama players they rarely jell or excell and as a whole are overhyped busts.

Historically, pro day numbers always tend to be better than combine numbers, but your point is not lost on me. If you were to broaden your research, you would see physically he compares favorably to most elite DE's. So, he doesn't have a physical excuse. The rest is up to his head.

Athletically, Bosa and Taco seem similar. It will come down to heart, study, and effort. No test to measure those.

Bosa was a much better prospect no matter how many times fans post that their measureables were the same. 1000 RBs have had better measureables than Emmitt Smith, few have even approached his greatness.

They both have the same tools is what the OP is trying to suggest and I agree.

What Bosa has that Charlton doesn't is extremely polished technique and a high motor. 2 traits that Rod Marinelli specializes in.

Charlton has upside so we'll see.

Bosa is a monster though. I can't believe how good he is.

You beat me to this. The regained pass rush technique is the separating factor. Boss was one of the most refined in that area to come out of the draft in some time.

But there's reason for optimism on Charlton in that he greatly improved in his time with Harbaugh and should do the same under Marinelli.

Bosa was also a 3rd overall pick. Had Dallas had the 3rd overall this year do we take Taco?

I like the pick of Charlton at 28, I think the guy fits what the Cowboys were looking for a DE but there were other DE who went before Taco that I would have taken ahead of him.
