I'm in favor of just about anything that means the media won't talk about a Kicker winning the game.

What could be more exciting than sudden death?

If your team scores first, the excitement of knowing that your defense now has a chance to earn the victory as well.

If your opponent scores first, the excitement and stress of knowing that your offense now has to tie it up to have a chance.

I agree that the first team to score a TD in OT should win. I've always hated that a penalty could put someone in FG range to win a game in sudden death.

I wish they would just leave it alone. If your defense isn't good enough to stop the other team on the first possession of OT then that's your fault and you deserve to lose.

Sure then they need to readjust the rules so it doesn't so obviously favor the offense.

What a joke; they will never find a system that works for everyone, so why change a system that doesn't give any advantage to the coin flip winner.

I would like to know what they consider an opening possession in their proposed rule set. You would think that returning the opening kickoff for a TD would constitute the first possession and game over. Under this possession assumption, what if the opening kickoff receiving team fumbles and the other team recovers; does the other team only have to kick a field goal to win? What if the opening possession team kicks the field goal and then onsides? Does the game end? If receiving a kickoff does not constitute an opening possession and they return one for a TD, do they have to kick off and allow the other team to score a TD to even it up?

Blame the Brett Favre toadies. They're outraged that the hillbilly didn't have a chance to take the field after the Saints' FG in OT. Boo hoo.

They're called Viking fans. They long to make the playoffs but cringe at the opportunity. They know whats coming.
