Hey Guys-

Just wanted to 1st say "congrats" on the win last night.

Also, I'd like to thank everybody who's been supportive through this whole Sean Taylor thing.

I'll be honest, I only watched the 1st quarter last night before I realized I just didn't "want" to watch football yet. But, it was very classy how both teams paid their respects, and how the fans in Dallas did also. It means a lot.

Thanks again

Setting tact and manners aside for a second...

Wheat's been a great poster here for years and deserves a bit more respect than that, given his was a very reasonable and respectful post.

IMO, he is the finest Redsk*n poster we have on this board.

:hammer:

He's been with us since the other board and on day one here. He's a good poster and person and deserves more respect than an eye roll.

Freedom provides you the right to have an opinion on any subject no matter how much I or others disagree. However... compassion, respect and basic human decency should allow you the ability to differentiate when to express that opinion and when to save it for another time.

I continue to offer prayers and sympathy to Taylor's family and the Commander organization as I myself try to come to grip with this senseless act. I do this for someone who I've never met and actually rooted against; but in whom I had respect for his life.

Hey, my suggestion was lost somewhere in the swarm of emails and postings for Sean Taylor.

I think it would be a powerful statement to open the starting defense for one play with 10 men on the field, Sean Taylor's spot empty to give him one last start.

Sure, it doesn't make football sense, but the senseless act of violence and the outpouring of support transcends the game.

That actually sounds like a cool idea.

And they aren't playing the Pats this week, who would probably intentially throw a deep bomb to Moss on that play.

Go Away! No one likes you!

why? because I don't sit around acting like the world has come to an end or like a close family member has died like some people?

Look, its a terrible, horrible thing what happened to Taylor. The disrespect for human life is astounding and saddening and I pray for his family and those affected by it, but stuff like this happens all the time...and yet people can still go on with their normal lives, as long as the player is not a member of their favorite football team...

half of the people talking about the Taylor have most likely never met him...it really cheapens the loss that his direct family has experienced when people who have never known him start acting like they can't move on because one of their team's players has died. but whatever, ya'll keep on with the drama, it does not honor the man, really just brings attention away from him and towards you...saying look at me this is how much it has affected me i cant even move on...LOOK .AT HOW SAD I AM...I am so sad...I cant even watch football...look how sensitive I am...when it really has not effected you so much...just brings attention away from him and the loss his FAMILY is experiencing and directs it towards you...so that is why I "rolled my eyes"...

It's not a big, big deal, but the OP was polite and only giving us props for a good win, but being that he's a Commanders fan, admitted it was hard to get into it in light of recent events.

If he had been talking trash maybe it would be different, but being that this wasn't the case AND he's been around since the last incarnation of this board, your brief comment was a bit unwarranted. I see the Star as representing class, and like to see those who wear it and fellow fans who cheer for it carry the same regard.

Naw, because you're an insensitive clod... in fact, I suspect your first reaction upon learning of Taylor's death was something along the lines of "ooooh, that's really gonna hurt the Skins and help the Boys"...

Look, its a terrible, horrible thing what happened to Taylor. The disrespect for human life is astounding and saddening and I pray for his family and those affected by it,

Coming in the wake of the last paragraph, you'll have to forgive me if I say that sounds like a load of self-serving, mealy-mouthed crapola... I don't believe a word of what you just wrote...

but whatever, ya'll keep on with the drama, it does not honor the man, really just brings attention away from him and towards you...saying look at me

ROTFLMAO... and exactly what is this diatribe, but YOU saying "look at me"??

LOOK .AT HOW SAD I AM...I am so sad...I cant even watch football...look how sensitive I am...when it really has not effected you so much...just brings attention away from him and the loss his FAMILY is experiencing and directs it towards you...so that is why I "rolled my eyes"...

Yeah, it's hard to believe that a die-hard Skins fan could be upset over the sudden, violent death of his team's best defensive player... I mean, it happened DAYS ago, Skins fans should just get over it, right??

So roll your eyes all you want, after all most of us are rolling our eyes at this load of tripe you've just dumped in here...
