If you listen to Dallas Cowboys games on the radio on one of the many affiliates of the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network, you know the voice of Brad Sham, the play by play voice of the Cowboys for many years. Tonight's game between the Cowboys and the Eagles marks the 750th time that he has done play by play in the Cowboys broadcast booth.

Salute!

I regret that I don't get to hear Sham during games. From the clips I've heard, I know that the historic calls he has made have been awesome. Emmitt's record comes to mind. In recent history, "walk the dog" is pretty cool.

Sham's the best.

I like ya Idgit. But gonna disagree with you and about 98.7% of the fan base on this one. Sham tries to play both sides. He's even mentioned as much. Says he doesn't want to be biased. He's the man that gets excited when the other team's RB runs for 4 yards. You would have thought the opposing RB scampered for 50 listening to Brad get all shook up about it. On top of that, he mentions the wrong player along with the wrong down and distance nearly on a consistent basis.
I'm definitely not a big fan of Sham like I used to be.

To each their own, but I'm shocked. I didn't realize there was *anybody* out there who didn't like Brad Sham.

It would be different if Sham acted like he was a fan of the Cowboys while calling games with his buddy Babe. Stop with the whole "gotta be unbiased" crap.

It won't hurt my feelings Brad if you get upset or show no emotion when the other team gets a first down or unfortunately scores on us.

Wow - since I don't live and Dallas and don't listen to him on a constant basis all I can go by are the NFL films clips and he sounds pretty excited when we score but I don't know what he's like the entire game. He's an excellent play by play guy though.

Brad was great with Vern and later with Dale Hansen. But recently Ive found him hard to listen to also.

I turn the tv sound down and put up with the lack of synch just so I can listen to Kristi, Babe, and Brad.

I don't think he's freaking out over the opposing team's runner getting 4 yards. I've always thought he uses his voice to give you a sense of the momentum of the play. If you were only listening on radio, he brings the game to life whether he's describing a Dallas run or the opponents run. He's very good at painting the picture.

Al Michaels gave Brad congrats as they showed him on TV last night, for his 750th broadcast. Saying he replaced another very good one in Verne Lundquist.

Congrats on 750, Mr. Sham. Had the pleasure of meeting him in Chicago in 2007, and he seemed like a great guy.

I've only listened to Sham once while traveling two years ago. I just remember being very frustrated that he didn't do a very good job of painting a picture as to what was going on for someone not seeing the game itself. For example: He would say Romo to Dez for a first down. That's it, no yardage, no indication to where the ball ended up. Maybe he was just off that day.
