Congrats to Cowboys on a winning season

No matter what happens now, the Cowboys will have at least a 9-7 record (50% more wins than last year) and possibly 10-6 (66% more wins than last year). A winning season either way.

Possibly they can make the playoffs (especially if the Ravens win tonite).

This was one of the most exciting football seasons I can remember, including college. I've watched both NFL and College since 1985. For all their faults, this team really gets it done with the game on the line. Who will forget the SD win? The Philadelphia dismantling (the Cowboys both exposed (game 1) and defeated (game 2) the Eagles this year when they were in their prime). Even the SF game (down 21-6 on the road) was a thriller.

The Cowboys were a missed FG away from beating both Seattle and Denver, two of the top 4 teams in the NFL, and beat quality teams with game-on-the-line drives versus SD, NYG, KC and Carolina.

I expect a big win vs. St. Louis.

Note: this was my first year watching the Cowboys. I normally watch the Pats, Notre Dame and Buffalo '02-'04.

So did you become a Cowboys fan when Bledsoe came here or do you just root for Drew?

Either way, that's devotion to a player.

The Minnesota game has no bearing on our playoff chances, as if we lose next week we are done anyway.

First of all, you guys are a 1996 Pats rip-off and you know it. Second, don't you guys want someone who understands your QB better than Parcells? Why do you think I still follow him despite the Buffalo years? Because the man is a champion.

What championships has he won and what is a 1996 Pats Rip-Off?

Same coach, same QB, same leading receiver... he won the AFC Championship in 1996 and 2001.

You know where we can find a person who fits this description?

A team that gets schlacked by Green Bay in the Super Bowl

In other words, not us

Heck, even though Parcells refused to ride on the plane home with em, I wish we could do as well as they did.

I dont know. But after listening to you go on and on about him for like 5 months, it's totally creepy. I do know that much.

"Shalacked by Green Bay"? Only on Special teams. Drew had 2 TD passes in the first quarter, tying an NFL Super Bowl record.

The Pats gave up 2 Special teams TDs, plus a bomb for a TD on the first play from scrimmage.

I do love Drew, but I'm actually not gay or anything. No, my arse is one-way, exit only.

It goes back to the 2001 controversy over Brady/Bledsoe, then Bledsoe comes off the bench and wins, then he has an All-Pro year in 2002 and a higher rating than Brady on a 3-13 team vs. the Super Bowl team, finishing 1 game behind the playoff spot, and on opening day 2003 Drew beat the Pats 31-0. I stuck it out through the 5 straight games with no TDs in 2003, the 2 straight games with concussions, the 6-10 season, the 0-4 start to 2004, the humiliating loss to the Pats in week 10 2004, but then I saw Drew win 6 in a row, 9 of 12, and still get released. I trusted he'd play well here and all season I defended him, and sure enough, once again, a 9-6 team on the brink of the playoffs.
