He also had the longest playoff run in Cowboys History.

16 carries, 148 yards, a 73 yard TD. He should be the starter. I love Barber, but he should be the closer. I love Choice, but he can be our change of pace back. Felix should carry the load. He is breathtaking. What a weapon.

As a Hog fan and a Cowboy, I must say I quite enjoyed his performance today.
Congrats Felix  Now let's do it again next week.

He took hughe steps forward this season.

When he played his first games this season to me he didn't seemed to me like he is a hard inside runner which was bad to me because i wish he could be our primary guy.

But through the season he changed his style and now he also gets the though yards through the middle.

I like him alot. Hope he can stay healthy.

He's just the seventh player since at least 1960 to average more than 9.2 yards per carry on at least 15 carries in a playoff game.

1. Charlie Garner (2002) 15-158 (10.53)
2. Earnest Byner (1986) 16-161 (10.06)
3. Freeman McNeil (1983) 21-202 (9.62)
4. Marcus Allen (1984) 20-191 (9.55)
5. Terrell Davis (1999) 21-199 (9.48)
6. Timmy Smith (1988) 22-204 (9.27)
7. Felix Jones (2010) 16-148 (9.25)

To me, Felix is not the change of pace back - he is THE BACK.

This can't be true. I specifically remember a certain poster saying that Felix was "trash."

You could see the Eagles defense cheating up big time before the snap. I knew then if Jones could just break thru he could be gone. What a run.

We've done every team we played this year a huge favour by not giving Felix the ball more. I know there was a stretch where he was injured and we didn't want him to take too many shots. But even before the injury and after the brace came off it seemed like Garrett was intent on letting Barber have 2/3rds of the carries.

When you put Felix in the game, everyone knows about his ability to take one in for a TD. They are going to hesitate on overload blitzes that we struggle blocking. It's going to hold the LBs even longer on the freeze draw. It is going to make the safeties cheat up a bit in case they need to help out. All these adjustments the defense has to make will make it easier for Romo and his receivers to find open space and make plays.

The other thing I love is how deadly Felix is on screens and passes out into the flat. It is a shame we haven't done this more yet. We should try to get him 15 carries and 5 receptions a game. I definitely don't want to overuse him to the tune of 20-25 carries a game (and the odd 30 carry game) like we did with Emmitt but there is no excuse to only get him the ball 5-10 times a game.

Make the defense respect Felix's presence - they have to account for him. The whole offense will reach another level once we straighten out the #2 WR position and fully integrate Felix and Choice.

Barber needs to be the odd man out. There is nothing that he does that Felix or Choice can't do. I think we need to move on. I really hope that this wasn't just Garrett resting Barber for the Vikings.

I agree. I love what Barber has done for the franchise, but I think with the uncapped year next year, I wouldn't be surprised to see Barber and/or Flozell released in order to sign Miles Austin to a long-term deal. Hamlin isn't a sure thing either.
