His 7 carries for 17 yards yesterday put him over 1000 yards mark for his career at 1016 career rushing yards. He really has re-defined the running back position.

Just one more reason I would not trade up to get McFadden.

I think McFadden is a better all around back than Bush was coming out of college. He can catch/run and he can flat out take it to the house.

Bush was never the typical run it down your throat type of back.

I see McFadden doing all of the stuff better than Bush when he comes into the league.

IMHO

Perhaps, but you can't know for sure until they are in the NFL. Having said that, I believe McFadden will be better suited to the NFL but still don't think we should trade up to get him.

I don't think you trade up for McFadden since it will cost too much to do that. If they get a good deal, then maybe.

I just find it funny that Reggie Bush even now is promoted as great and brings all this talent to the table. He can't get his rushing average above 4 yards a carry. His average yards per reception has gone down. He doesn't produce huge plays and he is not even a part of the return game.

I never expected the guy to be a 1500 rushing yards a season kind of guy or anything like that, so my expect ions are not unrealistic. He is just not doing that well. I don't compare him to Adrian Peterson who had 1000 yards after 8 games. A better comparison is Maurice Jones-Drew who plays a very similar role to Bush, but does it at a higher level and better production. It is not as if the Jaguars have a better QB or receivers than the Saints.

Reggie will get it going to the level people expected soon enough, he has had a good first year in his career and will improve with time. nothing like experience and learning the game better to improve.

I think Bush is better than McFadden though.
