What we have been seeing from Dak to Dez is not a fade.......it is a rocket to his inside hip

You have to throw it high and outside and give only Dez the chance to go up and get it

Or is has to be the back shoulder on a stop......but what we have been doing is some weird mutant combination

yeah but Romo isnt playing, and dez isnt what he was.

You have to use plays that work with the guys you are playing.
Our strength is running, so why not run 3 times??

I'm not arguing we should throw more fades now. All I'm saying is that it did work in the past and we shouldn't discount a play entirely because it hasn't been effective lately.

When was the last time you saw Dak throw a jump ball where Dez had to go up and get it? Once Dak realizes that he wants to throw it high outside to Dez, he will be better off.

With the average WR it's not a great play but with Dez who can outmuscle and outjump most CBs it is an absolute weapon.

Dak does not throw the fade or the back shoulder well at all in goalline. They are always this weird in between throw that isn't very deep, high and outside or shallow and outside. It's like he just trying to get it in the area of Dez. Dez seems to always set up for the back shoulder stop because he gets his body into the defender and then explodes away and to the front cone, but once he commits to bodying the db, he can't then get back around him. If Dak threw it high enough and outside, Dez may still have a chance but he never gets enough air on it.

I personally love the fade pattern but think it's easily defended by above average corners. The CB just has to position himself to make the endzone space as small as possible, pushing the WR towards the outside. It literally has to be a damn near perfect throw. Beautiful and unstoppable when done right.

Dak didn't put the ball where it needed to be for Dez to make the catch with ease. As a matter of fact, he left Beasley out to dry on several occasions in the first half as well. His foot work cleaned up dramatically in the second half. He is a rookie. Tony can hit that fade pass with his eyes closed. Give the kiddo some time.

Can we just put Romo in on those passes? At least Romo knows how to put some air under the ball to get to Dez's high point.

Best oline in the game. Witten, Beasley, Elliot. Qb that can run it in. No need to force the ball to Dez in the goal line.
