It has been here on this very board and it's not difficult to find. Are you going to other teams' message boards or something to see people minimizing what Dak has done in Dallas? I'm seeing none of that. Literally every Cowboys fan I know of is thrilled about Dak, and almost every opposing team's fans grudgingly admit he's the real deal. Even PHI fans, who don't want to believe it. NFL former players, ESPN analysts. Everybody.
They're not too hard to find. See my response to Idgit. We all know real you can say things nowadays in society in a veiled fashion and still get the point across without overtly saying it.Personally, I wouldn't mind reading or listening to examples of the current disbelief. Not saying it doesn't exist. Lord knows some people get stuck in ruts (take my stance on Terrell Owens for example ) but I sincerely doubt the numbers are significant.

Pump the brakes
Don't crown him yet
Tony's almost ready
Blah blah blah.
The veils are paper-thin.

you're one of the biggest instigators of the Romo v Dak **** this board's ever seen, lolThey're not too hard to find. See my response to Idgit. We all know real you can say things nowadays in society in a veiled fashion and still get the point across without overtly saying it.
That's not how I interpret examples like those. If these are typical to your assumption, I would define such comments as personal considerations that Prescott must remain in the starting role. I don't see them as ways of intentionally or unintentionally discrediting Prescott's talent level. That's the only way I could see anyone being dumbfounded (e.g. In total disbelief). They're not too hard to find. See my response to Idgit. I like(d) the player Romo & will always like the retiree Romo. Right now though, I really like Dak.you're one of the biggest instigators of the Romo v Dak **** this board's ever seen, lol
"now I just want yall to know, I love you all but... ROMO NEEDS TO RETIRE LOL, DAK ATTACK DAK ATTACK LOL" (I'm not quoting you, that's all my brain sees now when I read the 100 threads and 10,000 posts on the issue)
me personally, I love Romo and now I love Dak, which means I love them both and that's about it.
Fair enough. All I personally want to see is chemistry continue to build. Chemistry can sometimes be underrated. That's not how I interpret examples like those. [edit] This has been stated by others and I'll repeat the same sentiment: Anyone can fully appreciate Prescott as a starting (highly potential franchise) quarterback without diminishing the current franchise quarterback's status.
I don't think it's too early to rank him at all. Qb rankings should be for currently this season. If he's currently performing at a top 10 level this season, then he's a top 10 QB for the time being. They make a good point regarding the comparison to RW as a rookie.
TBH, I'm not sure how high his ceiling goes as a passer, but when I look around the league and think about who will be left in 2-3 years, I'll be surprised if he isn't in a lot of people's top 10 list. It's too early to try and rank him now.
When Romo burst on to the scene in 2006, he was getting the same raves and respect that Dak is getting now. He brought the same kind of excitement that Dak is bringing to the team this season. Romo was an undrafted QB making plays and winning games for the Dallas Cowboys, everyone was talking about him. The trash talking about Romo started with the bobbled snap, and went into high gear when he started dating Jessica Simpson a year later. Don't think other teams fans and the media won't turn on Dak, because it is guaranteed to happen. The only thing America likes more than the rise of an underdog, is the fall of a superstar. It's refreshing having a franchise QB that is almost universally raved about and respected (not that Tony didn't deserve the same, because he did).
Good points in that you can fall as quickly as you rise but let's be specific. Tony Romo is Tony Romo. Dak is Dak.. There is a ton that has led to Romo's perception in many areas. Not everyone follows the same steps.Don't think other teams fans and the media won't turn on Dak, because it is guaranteed to happen. I agree that there were things that Romo did that led to his perception. Like I said, the bobbled hold and Jessica Simpson started it, but really why do people have so much hate for Romo? Because he is (was) the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys, and he gave them a chance to win. I've asked friends of mine that are skins fans why they hate Romo, and their answer was almost always the same: "I don't really know. He's the face of the Cowboys, I just hate him." Honestly, Romo seems like maybe the nicest, most genuine person in the NFL, so what other reason is there for the venom?Good points in that you can fall as quickly as you rise but let's be specific.
