Cooper Beebe working the cords

The way the Adams/Riley duo is coaching up the backup olinemen I feel confident in whatever group they put out there now.

I used to think any starting olinemen missing time would have a big impact on offensive performance.
After last week, I don't think that anymore.

Now if injury occurs it's a genuine Next Man Up/Coach 'em up opportunity for those 2 outstanding coaches leading the way.

Night and day difference from the previous OL coach.

Cool. Don't rush it!! We need these boys healthy down the stretch.

Totally agree, I don't think I have ever seen a mostly backup Oline look as good as this line looked last week. I am really impressed with Conor Riley as an Oline coach.

How come he said broken bone in foot? I thought it was a high ankle sprain?
Both…and they haven’t actually started his amp up practice period yet. It will still be awhile.

what is interesting is that sometimes a broken bone heals faster than a severe strain

The line has been good. I hope he doesn't rush back too quickly and reinjure himself. I'd love to see him back on the field, but only if he's 100%.
Not many players, play at 100%. Pain and injury are part of this game.

Glad to see Beebe getting back soon.

Thankful for Hoffman. He has performed very well. Most important position on the Oline. Glad to have both a great starter and backup at that position.

True. I played many times, hurt and not at 100%. Having said that, there's a fine line between playing hurt and being injured. A person coming back from an injury too early often leads to reinjury, longer recovery, and possibly permanent damage.

Yes, I agree with that. My rule was always go with the doctor's recommendation.....liked it or not. Had two VERY tough situations where doc said play, I didn't want to play them...both were all state players. Talked to parents and they said, play....so, they played. Luckily, both worked out. One tore his ACL, doc said, I'm gonna cut him anyway, go ahead and play him. He played two games like that. Only had about 120 a game, where he was averaging 200. The other, had a heart issue that only happened during a game. Cardiologist was at the game with his staff...2nd quarter, the kid had a super tachycardia where his pulse went to about 260 beats a minute. Had procedure done that night at the hospital, we had about 100 players and coaches in the waiting room. It worked, talked to hi m recently, been 20 years and he never had another one. Damn, I could share sideline stories for days. Lol
