Do you think it makes any difference if the offensive or defensive coordinator is on the sidelines or in the coaches booth during the game?

I always thought it was more of an advantage for them to be up in the booth getting a good look at the whole field. It may not be as big advantage in today's game since every team has overhead pictures immediately available on the sidelines. I wouldn't mind Payton and Zimmer being shipped upstairs and letting Parcells handle things on the sidelines.

I always thought up in the booth for the reasons you mentioned...but you bring up a good point about the instant images available now.

I think it's stupid for us to speculate which is better when we're doing nothing but making guesses.

Well that in many ways is the nature of a message board, guesses, ideas and opinions.

It would be interesting however if some research could be done somehow to compare teams with OC/DCs in the booth compared to on the field....but even then It would be hard to come a conclusion because it would still depend on so many variables.

Parcells is a control freak, all coaches are but especially Parcells.

With them on the sidelines, he has quicker access to them, with direct communication, and not just the head-set.

I have a feeling that if they were in the booth, we'd get 3 or 4 delay and/or 12 man on the field penalties a game.
