.... May become available. 9ers have to waive players to activate Aldon Smith, Navarro Bowman, Glen Dorsey and Marcus Lattimore. Both guys would become 3rd or 4th stringers. Tank is not a 3-4 OLB or DE.

None of these guys is better than Jack Crawford, who I predict will take the starting job from Selvie after the bye.

They say tank carradine is not smart enough to play in the nfl. They say he has the ability, but makes way too many mental mistakes.

A more simple scheme might be what be what he needs. Tank go get QB.

They don't even play the same position

Yes, they do. Jack Crawford and Selvie are both DEs.

Carradine would likely be a DE in the 4-3, but might be a DT.

Lemonier would be a DE in the 4-3.

They play opposite sides. Unless they plan to switch Crawford - which I kind of doubt since they were using Melton over him at LDE on passing downs.

Xwalker already answered but they do. I honestly think they really like Crawford. He was getting 3 times the snaps Edwards is getting now when he was healthy. He has more speed, bend and hand slapping around the corner than Selvie. In the Saints game, where I saw him beat Strief around the corner about 3 times (actually would've had a sack if on Brees if Melton hadn't) he got 27 snaps comapred to Selvie's 34.

I think he'll ease back in this game. Then they'll give him more of a shot in London. That performance might be the impetus to replace the very underwhelming Selvie in the lineup.

What opposite sides? Crawford as seen almost as many snaps at LDE as as RDE. And with Mincey playing the way he is and Lawrence coming back, LDE is getting crowded. There are no other DEs I'd put on that side over those 2.

I have always like Carradine. I think he would be an excellent 3Tech in a 43, matched up with a very big and physical 1Tech. JMO

Jack Crawford has played both sides this season. They were not using Melton over Crawford because Crawford has been out the past 3 games. They didn't play Melton at LDE until this past game.

Hmm, guess I just didn't realize he had played as many snaps on the left as the right...maybe just thinking of Edwards.

This season I think he would be a LDE for the Cowboys. He was a 4-3 DE in college and the Cowboys are good at the 3-tech, but need more from the LDE position.

I don't really think they will cut him and if they do, he'll have to pass through waivers where the Cowboys are 16th in line.

It's not like we need a pass rush or anything.. Ever heard of a DL rotation. The players named are worth looking into, even if not starter quality.

I'm not sure why you're addressing this to me. All I said was that they play the same positions in response to a statement that they didn't.
