He’s definitely better than Eberflus, but some of the same problems though.

1. Plays almost exclusively zone. So bland and Diggs would have to go

2. Run defense relies heavily on D-line talent. Good news is you don’t need great linebackers, bad news is you’ll probably have to invest in 2-3 more good DE’s for it to be really effective. We had 8 starter caliber Dlineman rolling through the rotation before we really kicked butt.

3. Bend but don’t break philosophy. Doesn’t blitz a lot

Ultimately, it means he pummeled bad offenses but gave up a lot to good offenses. So we were the best passing defense in 2022 but Goff hit us up for 35, Dak put 40 on us in December and Mahomes dropped 38 on us in the SB

But again, I’d definitely take him over Eberflus
