I fear JJ has doomed the franchise. I will always root for the Cowboys but I will never root for T.O. Why? B/c he has done nothing to show he deserves to be supported. Is he a criminal? NO. But his public attitude/persona, which is all any of to go on, shows a person deviod of any concept outside of self.
Can Bill work with him - or more importantly the coah after Bill? Who knows. But I don't see any way this deal can turn out as good for the Cowboys as Haley. Haley hated SF, but T.O. seems to hate the system and those are 2 completely different things.
Could T.O. help the offense? Obviously, but the question is he is willing to those things necessary to help? Will he run decoy routes the same as primary ones? Block downfield? Crack-back? Will he be content "opening up the field" for other receivers and/or the running game? These, as much as his lockeroom persona, are the key questions with T.O.
Count me a very cautiously optimistic.
