Could Lance Louis be the Cowboys Answer at Guard?

With the uncertainty about the health of 6x probowl guard Brian Waters, the Cowboys find themselves in dire straights once again. Could Lance Louis be the answer?

Mackenzy Bernadeu has proven that he can’t get it done. The more I look at the Gavin Escobar pick, the more I scratch my head. He has been a non-factor this season: and whats worse? He can’t block. The more I think about Larry Warford being on the board when they drafted him, the more I question the management of the Dallas Cowboys. Warford has proven to be a solid starter for the Detroit Lions as all of you saw when held the Cowboys DL at bay. Matt Stafford had a clean pocket for most of the game, and the 488 passing yards he racked up are a testament to that. I scoured the waiver wire and the one name that stuck out to me was Lance Louis.

Dude, at this point, your pick can't be any worse than anybody else's,

The Wikipedia article says he ran a 4.76 40 at 303 pounds. He was only released a couple of months ago, and he's started 28 games since 2010. On paper, he sure sounds better than Arkin, although I'm not sure if Arkin ever made it to the practice squad or not. Kind of lost track of him.

I don't say this often but Benadeau looks like an all-pro in comparison to this guy.

Bring him in, he is better than Arkin right now and can be better than Bernadeau when he learns the system. Louis is not only off the charts athletically but plays with a nastiness that Cowboys need on OL. Is also versatile enough to play every OL spot, blocking TE and short yardage fullback.

Signing Louis is not a financial risk and could another churn gem. Keep churning Jerry.
