Great, he caught some short bubble screens thrown to him, turned a couple into decent gains, and caught a couple of other passes. It's enough to whet our appetite, but can we really call it proof that he can perform consistently, catch balls over the middle with defenders on him tight (he's dropped some this preseason), beat DB's who press him at the line of scrimmage, or run a variety of routes with precison?
AS I SAID, lack of opportunity does not equate to proof, and catching 7 passes for 96 yards does not equate to proof.
And I will add to that. You don't assume a person can do all the things a quality NFL receiver needs to do just because he hasn't had the opportunity.
So he just gets lucky in the actual games then right?
