It's not really all that complicated. You just put the monster cap hit years in alternating seasons so you never have more than one at a time. Dak this year, CeeDee next year, Bland the year after and so on. It's maybe the most frustrating thing about how the Cowboys do business.. They act as if they can't do math or something.

Is that before or after we learn a new word salad combo for the day!!??

Nope.

To learn, you have to want to learn.

Stephen and Jerry do not give a single turd about learning how to do things in any other way than the way they already operate. They both believe they’re the smartest people in the room and are nearly incapable of admitting their mistakes.

Nah, you stretch out those cap hits as far as possible. In 3 years, and the rising cap, a 40 mil cap hit becomes peanuts.
Parsons deal has him at or under ~60% of his AAV for 3 years. Favorable outs for the Packers when it spikes or they can renegotiate an extension/modification and he gets more guarantees.

This front office just thinks signing bonuses and salary are the only two options, fitting, cause I'm sure that's all that Madden offers for players as well.

For what it is worth, click here for the biography/resume of the general manager, Brad Holmes, who was qualified to TRY running an NFL front office on day one.

I would post links to Dallas' general manager and chief operating officer, but I will not clutter CowboysZone with football stupid biographies and resumes. That is both before and after February 25, 1989.

I've never looked at his shoes but I'd almost bet he wears loafers.

If they wanted to, they could. They choose not to. They choose to construct contracts in a way that makes it look prohibitive to sign others.

Most likely they can't do math!! And that's even scarier!!

The greatest lie the Jones’ boys have told. They have convinced tons of people that the cowboys can’t afford to sign some of their key players and/or sign free agents.

It’s total nonsense. But they have so many fans afraid of “cap hell” that they have fans willing to move on from their best players to try and avoid it.
