As much as anyone watns to talk abuot Peyton success, we had the same offenseive success

we were second te leage in points per game, our offense had JJ running for 100+ yards for what 4 or 5 straight games

Could we have the same defensive type of opening up. Now that BP doesnt have Zimmer holding him back as far as playcalling, maybe we see wat have been waiting for all last season.

Either way you think, this will be the season to see who's been the fault for the defense

Since it seems some people misunderstood me, the question is

Can OUR defense open up, with the losing of the coordinator, like the offense did when Peyton left

Unlike Sean Payton... Zimmer was here prior to Parcells so we have that as a reference. BUT, it will be interesting to see what Zimmer does in Atlanta. They have some very good players on that defense that he's going into.

Doubt it, he's only a coordinator. He can't be held accountable for Vick "CK" Mexico.

no they dont...they have a bunch of DB's that cant cover at all, an injury prone and aged DL and a couple of LB's who dont play well in coverage either

he's gonna be in for a L O N G season there

I wouldn't be surprised to see Zimmer put together a top 10 defenses and then be hired as a headcoach at either a major college program or a lesser NFL team....like Dallas.

zimmer will do a great job for 2 reasons.. #1 he has good talent on hid new D #2 he doesn't have bp telling him to play to not lose rather than play to win

I love Abrahma, but he is of no use when he isnt on the field, and thats alot...Kerney is a free agent and just turned 30...Coleman just turned 30

Demario Williams is the only LB they have that can play in space

and their DB's are terrible in coverage...all of them..people think RW and Keith Davis were bad, they should watch some of Milloy and Crocker

I thought they had the best cover corner in the league in D. Hall. ;)

God help us if it was BP ruining the defense... I don't think I can stand another year of it. Do post any other info you have... if you're cool with that.

It does beg the question though... why did it take Zimmer 4 years to leave if he was so unhappy with BP? He even had the Nebraska head coaching job thrown at him.

I know how you feel about Zimmer but remember this, I think he'll do a good job in Atlanta. I'm not huge on predictions, but this is an exception. I think he'll do ok there.

Maybe he thought BP was goin to leave and he would be asked to be the head coach???

?

maybe because he signed a contract extension with a raise?

He even had the Nebraska head coaching job thrown at him.

and most likely its the last one he'll be offered

but as fyi, he cited Parcells and Jones talking him out of going as the reason he decided against the Nebraska job...he promptly got a raise from Jones
