Could we get Peterson to agree to a Hardy deal?

I know far less likely because ARZ (or someone else) probably will pony up a sufficient, guaranteed-money long term deal, but might Adrian Peterson agree to a 1-year "prove it" deal with Dallas that re-establishes his market value running behind the best offensive line in football? Then he re-enters the market at age 30 having rushed for 2,000 yards and 18 TDs (as opposed to trying to negotiate a long term deal now after sitting out a year)?

Just a thought. Like I said, I think someone will give him enough money for him to sign long term...

Peterson at 30

One last stab at big "stupid" money

It really is.

AP in Dallas makes way to much sense.

The time is now. 20 years we have been waiting. The time is now.

AP wants to be a Dallas Cowboy.

I would guess winning a SB, is as important to him as it is to, #cowboyszone. He is just as hungry for it, as we are.

His time is running out. Romos time is running out. Wittens time is running out.
The Cowboys were right there last season.

We have what seems to be the making of a "Great Wall of Dallas".

We have Kraken now!

Good young players. Maybe the best WR in football.

A coaching staff that is making all the right moves. JG coming into his own. Coordinators that are some of the best in the league.

The time is now.......... We need AP , and he needs us.....its a perfect match.

Lets get this done. Lets lay it all out there. And see what happens....

We don't have to mortgage the future to do it, either....Give a little, but not the "everything"

get AP. 3 years. 3 SBs.... Romo goes down as one of the greatest QBs ever to play the game. Which I think he is. But doesn't get the credit because of the playoff record.

The time is now. 35 years I have been watching Cowboys Football. I cant remember looking forward to a season, more then I am looking forward to this one.

Sign AP, and the Cowboys excitement will be off the hook. There will be only one goal. SB.
No more, "lets just make playoffs".....

I'm tired of Philly. Eli,
I'm tired of Seattle/Carroll....GB/Rodgers.
Its been 20 Years....

If not right now? Then when? The time is right now. Sign him.

^This.

I'm pretty new here but I've been singing this song since I joined the forum.

I've been watching the Cowboys longer than most of the people on this forum. I was a young boy when Bob Lilly and Lee Roy Jordan manned the front seven. And I have to say, "I'm tired."

I'm tired of the Cowboys being the butt of jokes around the country.
I'm tired of 20 years of playoff futility.
I'm tired of watching the Steelers pass up the Cowboys in SB wins and playoff record.
I'm tired of watching NE play in what seems like every other SB for the last two decades.
I'm tired of watching GB add to their SB wins while we stand stuck on 5 for 20 years.
I'm tired of hearing the hate for Tony Romo. I'd still take Staubach over Romo in a heartbeat, but Romo is good and if the Cowboys can win a SB or two, he will have a bust in Canton one day. Romo deserves to have what Danny White never realized: a SB win and a HOF induction.
I'm tired of waiting til next year. It could be worse - this could be a Cubs fan board. But, 20 years is enough. I'm tired.
Get Adrian Peterson. I believe he still has enough life in his legs to lead the NFL in rushing yards and rushing TDs in 2015 and 2016 behind the best run blocking line in football. I believe Peterson will be the difference, now that Hardy is signed and will bring the pass rush the Cowboys have been sorely lacking, in getting past GB and Seattle in the NFC and NE or Indy next year in the SB.
Romo's window is closing. Witten's window is closing. The O-line will only get better and it's awfully good right now. Dez is a beast. Defenses can't commit 8 or 9 to stop Peterson and double up on Dez. Something has to give.
I want to see Martin and Fredbeard open holes and watch no. 28 take it the distance. I want to see the Cowboys line up for the PAT time after time with Peterson toting the rock.
I want to see a 14-2 season and 3-0 post-season.
I want to see it now.
I'm tired.
I've lived through the drought of the 1980s.
I've lived through the drought of 1996-2014. Enough is enough.
Get the greatest running back of the past 15 years - and it's not even close - in a Cowboys uniform. And win a couple of championships for Romo. Send Tony off on a good note, on a John Elway Rocky Mountain high type of end to a career. Send him to Canton, Ohio. He can be inducted right after Peterson gets in. And Witten.
Do it Jerry.

I'll be curious to see what kind of deal he ends up getting.
