I'll be the first to admit that I had my reservations about this season. It wouldn't have surprised me in the least if our Win/Loss record was completely reversed, come end of season. I was wrong, and I'm the first to admit it. By brief impromptus have been nothing but supportive towards our gang, but I have to say, I never expected this.I have to give it to our Boys for achieving what they've done. It's not just a matter or their record and winning the East. To me, it's just as important that they've revitalized the franchise we've all come to love; and more importantly; picked up the fan base.
We've all suffered through the 8 & 8's; the missing the playoffs in Week 17; The Romo jabs, the defense dilemnas; the Jerry jargon; the clapping monkey conundrums and the ambiguously, yet revered amongst our bretheren's accusation that we are no longer "America's Team".
Well slap my backside and call me a believer, but we have not only achieved, but overachieved.
Revel in the moment Cowboy folk. Enjoy the day. Hell, Carpe' Diem!
There is something special in all of us. Those of us who have suffered for so long, and yet choose to stand by something they believe in. I salute you all who have been faithful.
How many kidney's would you all give to just play one snap wearing the star? Three? More?
I am one. You fight for, and stand by what you believe in. Just as you believe in your family, your religion, country, friends, self, whatever that may be.
Enjoy the day my brothers and sisters. We've overachieved. We're getting younger and more experienced. We stand by each other. And we see the tide is turning. Get on the bus folks! Climb in for the big win.
Do this, and you retain the title Cowboys fan. If you can't, then hit the road. You weren't one of us to begin with.
I choose to believe. And even if we don't win through, this team is one to be proud of. This team will always be in MY heart. And this is the beginning of something special.
Love to you all...
