It will be one of the few times we can see a lot of these rookies....before they get cut and start the rest of their lives selling insurance or coaching high school.

I'm really excited about it as well. I admit that losing Dez really took the edge off my excitement, because I was really looking forward to seeing him play. However, just anticipating seeing the Cowboys play after waiting for seven months is enough to make me lose sleep on Saturday night.

Unlike the casual fan (and like most of you on this board), I also enjoy watching the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th teamers play during the preseason, and looking for our new up-and-commers. We don't get the opportunity to see many of these players durning the regular season, so I take this opportunity to watch and take notice of players who I believe have what it takes.

Last year, Travis Bright really caught my eye at the guard position. I thought he did a phenomenal job during preseason, and was very happy to see him signed to our practice squad. This year, I think he will make the 53 man roster as a back-up G/C, and would perform MUCH better than Proctor ever did if he were called upon to do so.

Bright was definitely my pick for last season's pleasant surprise of the preseason, and I can't wait to see who stands out this year!
