I loved his Past The Point Of Rescue.

In April of last year, his wife announced on Facebook that early-onset senile dementia including Alzheimer's disease had progressed to the point where he could no longer perform.

While I like all types of music, there are only a few country music artists that I have liked, and Hal was one of them.

Really sad to hear he is gone.

WOW...about the SONG WRITER of "Past the Point of Rescue!!!!! This Irish boy's song made his writing career when Hal chose to record it. I thought it had a bit of an Irish vibe to it.

Of all the ways to go out, dementia has to be one of the worst. If we ever find a way to prevent it, it'll be one of the greatest achievements in medicine of all time.

I feel for both him and his family.

Live music from the late Hal Ketchum. Pay attention to his long-time guitarist and friend Kenny Grimes.
