QB: I thought Tony Romo played a pretty good first three quarters, outside of their botched goal line series where they failed to look at Dez Bryant in single coverage. But the fourth quarter was the story for Tony. Something seemed off with him. Could it be that the pain shots he took before the game began to wear off? I don’t know, but Romo went from extremely accurate in the first half, to missing simple throws by a mile. The same throws that he has made to Jason Witten time after time weren’t anywhere close to being on target in the fourth quarter.

RB: I think I’ve finally figured out what’s wrong with DeMarco Murray. Many people have suggested that Murray runs more efficiently when he has a lead blocker in the game and I agree with this statement. But why is this? I went back and watched DeMarco in 2011 and came to the conclusion that DeMarco really struggles with his vision as a runner. But when Murray plays with a full back like he did in 2011, the lead blocker is reading the defense for him and all Murray has to do is follow his blocker. Murray became so used to that style of running because he was successful doing so. Without a lead blocker, Murray often lowers his head as soon as he gets the ball and misses some wide opens lanes. I have to believe that the Cowboys offensive line was frustrated with Murray Sunday because they were creating holes in the run game, but Murray just wasn’t hitting them. It was no surprise that on Lance Dunbar’s first carry, he ripped off a nice run. It wasn’t an impressive day at all for Murray.

The following two runs are examples of times where Murray missed open holes that could have resulted in big runs:

Those Murray pics were frightening. He had gaping holes on both sides and he just ran into the pile

Good news with our young TE . Hoping he can get a red zone grab in the near future.
