All this talk about Romo and his weekend vacation has the media salivating at the possibility that Dallas loses this game against the Giants and Romo doesn't play well in the process. They will chew him up and spit him out blaming his weekend in Mexico. It will be non-stop until Romo wins a play-off game.

Well, I'll tell you what...Romo and the Cowboys have given us a season to remember regardless of how they do in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong...I am by no means satisfied with making the playoffs. I want us to, at the very least, get to the SuperBowl and see what happens there.

But...this season to me has been a joy to watch. I went into every Sunday knowing that the Cowboys were capable of beating their opponent...including the New England game. Three times I came away disappointed and refused to listen or to watch any sports programming on the TV and radio for that particular week. The last few years...I didn't have the confidence in the 'Boys that they would be in the game...let alone win them. This season has been GREAT!

Well, to make a short story long, I propose that if the 'Boys do lose this week's game (GOD FORBID)...that we don't join the idiots in the media that are sure to have field day with their columns. Zoners don't need to be a part of throwing Romo under the bus for how he spent his days off. There will be enough of that going around without Cowboy fans to add to the misery.

Now that being said...GO COWBOYS!!!

Just a small request.

They have to win this game, and they have to beat the packers, although i might be able to give them a little pass if they lost an all time classic game where favre put one of his magical games together. They better beat the giants on sun, were home were a better team. its so hard to have a year like this and get the 1 seed you have to take advantage of it.

:D I had already said, despite what happens, I will be proud of the Boys. I wasn't so sure how far they would go in the playoffs after that Philadelphia game, considering Philly once again injured a lot of our players. But on the bright side, it sounds like the boys are healing.

Sorry... I cant go there with you.... its "common fan-like"(I leave that for the Eagles and Skins)

We are not a regular team... we are not regular fans.

SuperBowl Baby.

Nothing else matters.

:D I think of it as being realistic. Wasn't there a thread here not too long ago about how we would do without TO in the playoffs? Didn't the majority of the people say we'd lose? I think though things are looking bright again. We should win this one.

A season culminating without at least one playoff victory, while entertaining, would certainly be a failure to say the least.

:D Dunno, I think what the Commanders did was special, considering that they had all those injuries and the death of one of their starters. Sometimes, you're just not the same team after getting banged up. That's not an excuse though. I think there is a difference between someone on ES saying, "The NFL made us lose," and someone not being a cry baby, excepting the better team won that day, while none the less being proud of their team for getting where they did with injuries. Now, if the cowboys would have went into the playoffs not injured like they were at the beginning of the season, then that would be a huge disappointment. The Cowboys at the beginning of the season were an elite team; the Cowboys now aren't, but might get there before the playoffs are over. That's just my opinion.

The Cowboys that lost to San Fransico in the 1994 superbowl season in the NFC Championship were a huge disappointment for example. I do think San Fran. cheated in that game by creating a swamp on the cowboys side. :p

I won't throw Romo under the bus, and no matter what I am proud of this team. But I can't make a pact not to be disappointed, sad, depressed, you name it, if they lose. But they won't. :)

I'm with you. I've had thirteen great weeks and only three bad ones this year -- and even the last one wasn't really bad, because we had goals other than winning the game.

This season has been tremendous, and there's no way I could claim it's all a failure if we lose Sunday. If all that matters is the playoffs, or the Super Bowl, why even turn on the TV until now?

But as far as everyone not getting on the team if they lose... Good luck with that one. Half the people ***** and moan when we win. ;)

Nope. If they lose to the Giants, this season will be a tremendous dissapointment.

I'm not saying I won't be dissapointed if the Cowboys lose. Heck yea! I'll be dissappointed, hell I'll be devasted coming home to Houston from the game (which I'll be at). What I am saying is that I don't want Zoners to come on this board Monday and trash Romo for having spent the weekend in the loving arms of Miss Jessica and it being the sole cause of the loss. The national media will do that plenty.

Everyone here in this forum pretty much agrees that it's no big deal how Romo chose to spend his days off. It will have no bearing on how he plays Sunday.

BUT you know...I really don't think we need to worry about it. THE COWBOYS WILL BE IN THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.

I'm behind the Boys no matter what kind of season they have! But it will be a huge let down to not make it to the Super bowl. If we don't then this season means nothing 13-3 means nothing. Sure it would be a great season but it will be forgotten. That sucks but it is just the way it would be. I'll always be a Cowboys fan but I will be extremly disapointed if we don't make it to the Bowl.

:D It won't hurt as much as the 1994 season. That team wasn't banged up, so had no excuse. That season left me depressed for a long time. Also not as bad as going 5-11 a few times, where you sorta stop caring, thinking your team will probably suck next year too because they don't suck enough to get a good qb. :) Last year was brought some hope back. :D

That 1994 playoff loss killed me. We were better then the 49ers and we blew it. On the bright side though...I won the 3rd quarter in a pot I bought into worth $2500. That made up for some of the dissappointment of the 'Boys not being in the Superbowl.
