What's going on with the LBs this year, anyway? If they're not named Lee, they're downfield in coverage. And whatever they're named, when they *are* in coverage, it's not deep enough and teams are dropping the footballs right over their heads anyway. It's so frustrating watching that happen as teams move their way down field over and over converting third-and-mediums on us.

Not to excuse Smith, who has been so-so, but other than Lee, it seems the LBs are just there to make sure to tackle someone after they get 7-8 yards over the middle.

It's beyond frustrating but seems to fit in with this whole conservative thing Marinelli has got working.

why are we throwing 50/50 balls to Dez? Dak should be throwing slants, and crossing patterns where Dez can get separation from the DBs. Problem is that Dez doesn't get separation and all throws are 50/50.

I'm also alarmed that apparently Dez is double covered, Beasely is double covered and so is Witten. That leaves 5 players to rush and cover the rest of the offense and rush the passer.
I don't think Dez has been doubled much, if at all. The corners he has faced have been more than sufficient to shut him down.

Beazley has been doubled quite a bit however. Looks like defenses want to shut down Dak's primary security blanket and force him to throw elsewhere.

'I didn’t get a chance to see what the penalty was, but once that happened you just have to battle, and it made sense for us to continue to go for two even from the 12-yard line.'

This is Garrett's quote regarding the two points decision.

What the heck was he thinking, that was horrendous.

This is what people are saying when they try and put Dez's lack of productivity in context.

Dak simply isn't getting it done. But many in this fanbase, because they have invested so much into Dak post Tony Romo and felt so vindicated last year, simply are not yet ready to come to terms with his performance.

Dak himself said he has to be better, but the fanbase is like nah son you're fine!

Dak has to get better that is all

How is it possible that our rookie DBs tackle so much better than the vets? Both Lewis and Woods' tackling techniques are outstanding. It's textbook.
Yet our vets are always trying to get a big hit with the shoulders instead of wrapping up. The DBs that left were the same way except for Church.

Who is the coach teaching them these bad technique? They should tell the vets to watch the rookies and learn.

Our defensive staff hadn't had the chance to "coach them up" yet

Don’t worry. Give them some time to assimilate into this country club atmosphere. They’ll be missing tackles and taking bad angles in no time.

Man they look happy after a loss. I'd be grumpy even at a special event. Heck I might even growl at an old lady crossing the street
