Maybe being a receiver, Fitzgerald understands you win some and you lose some since he had several games last year similar to what Dez has had the first couple of games this year, including a worst of three receptions for 12 yards against Miami.

He could have been polite but not effusive any of a dozen ways. What he's saying isn't news, though. That's pretty much the book on Dez.

Exactly...he didn’t have to go into details and act like someone who admires Dez’s game.

“He’s a great player that has had a lot of success in this league over the years, it should be a fun matchup.”

That would’ve served the same purpose.

Larry is very politically correct. They always do a segment with him on some of the late games on radio. He's always positive and he represents the online University from AZ.

That would’ve served the same purpose.

You can't really see Dez play and not realize he's a very good player. I don't personally consider Dez elite, but then 'elite' is a relative word. He's a hell of a receiver by any measure, though. Even if he gets paid a lot and can be taken out of games from time to time (fairly regularly, actually) but the best cover CBs.

They are a damn good defense period

Opponents matter and locations matter. I keep saying it. Others have posted similar stats for QBs. Even the goat is 3-7 with some real clunkers in Denver.

The first 3 weeks of this season are against maybe the three best pass defenses. Anyone who thought we were gonna put up numbers as if we were playing the Saints is just looking for reasons to be critical.
