Technically speaking, the weak links along the line have been Collins and Green. But that’s to be expected since the other three are all perennial All-Pros. Watching the film you can see everybody but Zack Martin has had a tough start to the season. Travis Frederick and Tyron Smith aren’t playing poorly, they just aren’t playing near the level we’ve grown accustomed to.

That Peterson gameplan article has some good quotes. Normally, I'd like this post, but I won't because I don't think Dez is going to have a big game.
Agreed. They have to quit forcing the ball to him OR put him in a position (perhaps in motion) to make plays. Petersen will be all over him tonight unless they can force some adjustments in the Cardinals matchups. I think we win overall, but I said that last week too.

Peterson's just good. I think we'll win tonight, too, but not by making a living off of Peterson.

I'd like to see us getting the ball to Dez on more high-percentage passes and use less of the circus stuff. I also thought more of the short passing game to Elliott, Switzer, and Beasley was going to be a thing for us early here. There's time for that, though. We did start out with a couple of really good defenses.

This decision will be based on public perception, not ability.

Nobody would bat an eye if Tapper was inactive. The critics would be all over Taco being inactive

Taco will be active no matter what in my opinion.

Mayowa has struggled against the run, but putting Crawford at RDE is not the answer.

More "where can we put him now?" thinking.

I believe the Cowboys thought Lawrence would be the main RDE this year and Crawford the LDE (possibly with Irving eventually usurping that role), but I don't think the Cowboys want to mess with moving Lawrence right now since he's playing so well on the left side. It creates a dilemma, though, since our best ends are all LDEs. Do you put Charlton, Mayowa and Tapper out there anyway as the RDEs even though they are probably all better right now as players you rotate in as pass rushers?

I can see why the preference would be to play Crawford there on early downs because he's one of our four best DLs right now. He, Collins, Paea and Lawrence could be a pretty stout front against running games. Then you can slide him inside next to Collins and bring in Mayowa/Charlton/Tapper/Moore against the pass.

The guy has done nothing to this point.

And he's a defensive tackle miscast outside as it is. To put him at RDE against opponents best tackles makes a bad situation a worse one.

All of that money and they still struggle to find a productive role for him.

Kind of a stupid tweet.

To be fair you would have to compare todays' triplets with the the original triplets when they began their careers together in the beginning of '91.
Umm i think the point is that its premature for fans to proclaim these 3 (dak dez zeke) as the new triplets, when they havent accomplished a thing. But maybe thats just me...
