Cowboys 2026 Draft Picks as of today

That trade is part of free agency you don't bring in a big guy like Williams and not say it's not part of next year's plan I get what you're saying but when you do something like this it makes it less necessary to play big in free agency you just feel the big need I'm not sure about the linebacker trade but we'll see for eight games what he does well And of course you want them to do something in free agency but the draft is going to be more important but that's going to be TBD because we don't know what we're doing with Pickens yet That's going to either get us a some big draft capital and save us 30 million for the defense and then yes we're players bigger players and free agency but if you keep Williams and Pickens I'm sorry dude but if you still expect them to play big in free agency that's asking for a lot especially around here think about it there are a lot of moves that need to be made before you figure out what kind of players you can be in free agency..

Pickens and Williams you know the running back williams not the one we just got and not Sam Williams LOL we got too many Williams...

Have to figure that out first and foremost But these moves are being amazed that you don't have to overpay in free agency Yes a big trade can trump free agency or at least makes it less necessary I know you all don't think that but this is a big move for the future that you didn't wait till Next year you just doing it now you get to see a nice audition of him...

Agree, not mad at either today. Will definitely help.

Well he and all of our LB's should do better by default with Williams in front of them.

Maybe. A good chunk of the problem is slow to react/diagnose (Murray) or slow/stiff/blitzing is the only serviceable trait (James).

Not sure Williams helps that.

That doesn't even make sense That's not even the subject I was talking about you replied to my George Pickens rant not Quinton Williams II don't get it i'm lost I don't know what you're talking about...

You could have got Hendrickson for a first That's it you could have gave him Green Bay's first and maybe threw in Sam Williams versus what we gave for Williams that's what I was asking which one of those would have been better hendrickson for less Or Williams for what we paid for him....

I don't know what you mean no they gave a first a second and mazi, I'm saying overall compensation seems a little much...
No i said nope to trading away Pickens for a 2nd. Dallas doesn't pick good in the 2nd round. Id leave it the way it is and seemingly take Q Williams which is essentially the their 2nd round pick this year

Why don't you read to what you responded to that has had nothing to do with Williams i'm not sure what you were trying to respond to but you responded to my George Pickens trade idea and then what you wrote makes no sense.
It does if you read it. Nope to trading Pickens for a 2nd because this team doesn't draft 2nd round players well. Id keep Pickens and Id take Q Williams over any 2nd round pick they would take this year

Feed the crap out of Pickens the rest of the season 10-15 targets per game.

Then tag and trade him before the draft.

with Mingo and Tolbert out the door, will we recoup some 7th rounders? nobody on defense will fetch peanuts...or bag of popcorn.
trade diggs for a 2nd or 3rd and that helps recoup some of the picks.

I would not guarantee a Pickens signing at this point.

and we could get a 3rd back...but I wouldn't mind keeping him. we have some money that's going to roll over to next year. although we have to eat about half of WIlliams and WIlson's contract now.

If we keep feeding Pickens we most likely could get a 2nd and then spend the money on another FA Defensive player, to go along with Williams and our 2 first round picks.

If we realistically want to win a SB, we have to get in the range of giving up 20 points per game on defense. Just like the Dynasty of the Chiefs and the Patriots did.

No team is winning a SB giving up 30 points a game regardless of who your QB is. Or is just not going to happen.

well, some of next year's picks are already spent on defense. we have two first rounds and some low round picks and we should just go defense with the first two....that would start to put this defense in good footing.

Umm.. what? Who in their right mind is going to give up that much for Diggs?

Im glad we dont have a second

They act like 2nd round if for project players when its for starters

They will more than likely trade down with one of those picks to get back into Day 2.

As good as Williams is I hate not having anything in rounds 2 and 3.
