Cowboys 2026 Draft Picks as of today

How's that work out when GB shut Lamb down, @blueblood70 ? Dak needs more than 1. Eagles had Brown and Smith and Barkley. We have to be able to match something like that to get over the hump. Plus, we need some defense.
By the way, to add to that Mike Mccarthy was not a great designer of plays and not a great play caller, That is a well known fact even though that 2023 regular season was really good in the regular season, teams found it easier to take away a guy like Lamb, than what I see someone like Schottenheimer or even better if you have a guy like Mcvay or the head coach of the 49ers calling plays they'll make sure your number ones not shut down..

Nothing on offense is going to get over the hump of giving up 30+ points a game on D.

Teams that win the SB average close to giving up 20 points a game. That is the hump we need to figure out.

Scoring 20+ points a game, especially with Aubrey, should be relatively easy to do most games.
If you think about it in real simple terms, this defense needs to only come up with two or three additional stops per game (No TD or FG by the offense).

As bad as the Def is right now, I think they can at least move up to around average if they can just come up with a few more timely stops.

We usually don't agree on much, but the offensive line needs to block better, need a strong run game ,and we can handle it with just one star wide receiver, and developing some others..

we definitely need to fix the defense because think about this,

the mindset of the offense the way you're calling plays in a game is going to be way different when you're not looking over there watching series after series where they're eating up 6 to 8 minutes and then scoring on almost every drive, and it never stops, it's been like that around here far too often And when an offensive team, the quarterback, the play caller, they're over there going what do we got to do to score 30 or 40 points, they play tighter ,they take more risks, they try too hard ,they start fumbling the football, throwing picks,
this is a product of a bad defense...

Offense hasn't been right the last two weeks, is because they've paid too much attention to the other side of the football, and figuring out how to counter that, that is my opinion,

but that's what I'm seeing, I mean some of it a lot of it is the offensive line is not blocking as well ,but just think about it the pressure being less would be easier for an offense to score 20 points or less, like you said they just be in their zone not worried about the defense they are now thinking about the defense on every single drive and it's insane it's gone beyond ridiculous I thought 2020 was ridiculous this is hard to even watch..

I Mean a couple weeks ago, I think it was against Washington the Chiefs had four turnovers on offense and the defense still only gave up seven points wouldn't that be nice you know how comfortable our quarterback and our team would be on offense if we were doing that on defense......

It's like I'll watch our offense usually if they score or punt, kick off, I put it on pause, and then 4 minutes later, I Fast forward through the whole entire defense, and I seen a score and I watched the offense again, that's how bad it is, I already know they're going to give up points, but is it going to be in 4 minutes or 8 minutes,

and it was worse last game because the defense actually was making some stops on 1st and 2nd down and then giving up 3rd and long and it made those drives be almost 8 minutes long, now they're taking away possessions from the offense,

I rather than just do what the Bears say to just score easily and at least we get the ball back and we could try to score more you know in the Giants game just go ahead and give up to seven points in one play that way we can come back out and try to score on offense because right now these drive eating long drives now are worse because they're taking away at least a full possession if not more from our offense by taking longer to score yes that's how sad it is i'm sitting watching the game going man I wish they'd score already, so we can get back on offense...

To be clear I wasn't talking about the Super Bowl ANYWHERE in my post. I'm talking about getting over the hump as in winning the games you're supposed to win like Arizona. Seoson is over, bro.

I could care less about winning games like Arizona. If our goal is to figure out how to beat the bottom half of the league, then I have zero interest in watching ever again.

We should be blowing teams like mm Arizona out of the water.

I have zero interest in hanging out at the rim. Maybe you are ok with that.

We need to be All-In or All-Out. Until Jethro figures that out we will continue be a disappointment.
