Aside from Dixon Edwards being named to the team over Lee Roy Jordan or Dave Edwards (they put Norton in as MLB when he played OLB in SB XXVII, and MLB only in SB XXVIII), it's the error in identifying Blaine Nye as John Niland.

#76 was John Niland, Nye was #61.

Correct!

Who names a guy to an all-time Super Bowl team, and then posts the wrong picture?

DC.com must have people working there who don't know their Cowboys history.

Ever listen to the girls on Talkin' Cowboys? They are just at a huge disadvantage in not knowing the team's history because IMO they're just too young to hold those positions and they don't do they're homework. After reading email and tweet questions you hold you're breath Where are you Charean Williams?

A Cowboys All-Time SB team without Bob Lilly and Roger Staubach is a joke! Staubach is arguably the greatest Cowboys player ever and led the team to their first 2 championships. Lilly is also one of the All-Time great Cowboys who made one of the most memorable plays in SB history sacking Bob Griese for a 29 yard loss in SB VI and he's being left off the team? Leon Lett is on the team and he's best known for one of the biggest gaffes in SB history.

Roger was 2-2 in the Super Bowl; Troy was 3-0. I agree with their choice of Troy.

Lett over Lilly is more of a problem for me.

Aikman being 3-0 in SB's compared to 2-2 for Staubach is how they came up with Troy over Roger but Roger meant too much to the Cowboys success during the 70s to leave him off at least for me. He played in 4 SBs and won championships with 2 completely different Cowboy teams in 71 and 77 and that's not easy to do. It appears the list comprises players who played for the most championship teams.

No Bob Lily?? And no Larry Allen?? Larry Brown over Deion I can almost understand since Larry was MVP. And Aikman over Staubach is at least debatable.

Your right....Aikman was not in Staubach's league....Roger was in Montana's league and Troy is not there........

Larry Allen only got to play in one SB. The other linemen on that list played in multiple SBs. Larry Brown is also a 3 time SB winner with the Cowboys while Deion was only part of 1 for Dallas.

Saw both Roger and Troy play. Loved them both but Roger was better.

To this day, I believe Roger Staubach was the greatest QB to ever play, that I have seen. I never saw Otto Graham play and he might be the one QB who could have been better but I firmly believe that Roger was better then any of the others, including Montana and Payton and whomever else you might want to include. The game was significantly different back then and stats are not the overlying definitive in this situation. That's just my opinion. Maybe some might say that it's how I want to remember things but whatever the case, I believe he was the best.

Aikman didn't face the 1970s Steelers in the Super Bowl.

And neither did Brady. Or Montana. And other than Tony Eason vs the 85 Bears in SBXX no one else played that strong of a defense in a SB let alone multiple SBs. And Roger also had to get past great LA Rams and Minn Vikings defensive teams in the playoffs. The 71 and 77 Cowboys had great defenses but the 74-78 Steelers might have been the best defense over a long stretch. And Roger had to beat a 77 Denver defense in SBXII that crushed Pittsburgh in the divisional round that year. If not for Jackie Smith's drop and a desperation end zone heave in the closing seconds of SBX Roger would have a 9:3 TD:INT ratio vs four high quality defensive teams in 4 SBs. Brady and Montana never faced the caliber of defensive teams that Staubach faced over their SB careers.
