I agree as well. Plus Dallas have better results going in as the underdog rather than the favorite inthe past

Aside from the Vikings loss the Eagles have been playing well and their offense has been firing. Meanwhile our defense aside from one week against a 3-11 team has been shredded week after week through the air. I'm not the least bit surprised that we're going into this game as underdogs. Beyond that we haven't really developed a home field advantage at the new stadium. Sadly there will probably be a noticeable showing of Eagles green this Sunday night.

I fully expect Eagles fans to be louder than Cowboys fans Sunday night....which is really sad. But 2.5 in perfectly justifiable, don't see how anyone could think the Cowboys are the favorite base on how the 2 teams have been playing.

Oh come on now. 6-1 in their last 7 games. Dallas being undefeated in the division is far from hot when you look at how bad the Giants and Commanders are. And the fact the first Eagles game was the first Foles started. They were 3-3 going into that one and 6-3 since.

I understand people wanting to be positive here, but lying to yourself about how good a team or player is to do it is just silly. Everyone here would be buying Super Bowl tickets if we ever went 6-1, no matter who we played in those 7 games.

I don't care what the point spread is. It has no bearing on the game. Well, maybe it may give some players a little edge to show them otherwise, but not anything significant.
Maybe I'm wrong, just want a win.

What's your point? We are 4-4 while playing mostly the same teams. Substitute AZ for NO (same record) and its essentially the same schedule, just in different order. I'm not saying we don't have a chance, but if you can't understand why the Eagles are favorites you are delusional. Its for sure going to be a rough game.

Well if we're going to downplay their winning streak than I guess we should look at the fact

  • Philly killed Oakland 49-20, we won by 7 - Advantage Philly
  • Philly beat Green bay with their backup QB by 14, we lost against a backup QB on his 4th team in a season. Advantage Philly
  • Philly beat Washington, so did we. Advantage Draw
  • Philly beat Arizona, a quality team with a winning record. We've beaten nobody with a winning record. Advantage Philly
  • Philly beat Detroit, well you know what happened for us. Advantage Philly
  • Philly lost to Minnesota, we beat them. Advantage Dallas
  • Philly smoked Chicago, meanwhile Chicago had their way with us. Advantage Philly.
That would mean Philly is 5-1-1 in that comparison. Downplay a hotstreak all you want, but if its sooo unimpressive why can't we seem to muster one? And why have we lost to 3 of the 6 teams they won against during that time?

I'm not saying they're a contender. But no matter how you slice it 6-1 is an impressive feat in the NFL. Especially with your #2 QB to start the season in his second year and a brand new coach that came from the college ranks. And the scary thought, for as good as their offense has been, they lost Maclin before the year even started.
