And, no, I wouldn't want them peaking later. This is the best time to get on a gigantic roll into the playoffs.

Parcells seems to be finding new pieces to the puzzle every week. Bledsoe, Vandy, JJ are being eclipsed by Romo, Grammy and now MB Tres.

But the defense has got to be a concern as Parcells rethinks the next game.
Man, our QB rush is on the ropes and our secondary shows lots of holes.

Here's hoping the D can come around next week.

I'm not a Julius hater, he's done too much good for me to divorce him from this team.

we're in for a barnburner next week and will be a very tough game considering how explosive NO's O can be.

However, we are at home at a rocking Texas Stadium and NO's D is pretty bad.

I say Romo goes for 300+ as TO and Glenn have big games.

No one hates Bledsoe or Vandy, either.
They just didn't (or in JJ's case, he's fading fast) work out for Parcells.
It's a long way from being replaced or sinking in the depth chart to hate.
And I am glad you're not a hatah.

Runningback slumps in a 25 year old player are more readily remedied than in a 36 year old kicker or 34 year old and non-mobile quarterback.

i keep hearing our defense didnt do good, i kno this wasn't our defenses best performance, but i think they played pretty dam good. A big 4th down stop two goaline stands that forced them to kick fieldgoals.. ill admit it we need more pressure and we need to cash in on some of the oppurtunities like bradie james drop and a. glenn's near int in the endzone... but overall i think our D held up pretty well against an offense with its back against the wall..

anyways happy we got the win. Go Boys!!!

Yes but Julius is not deserving of the bench either, the mix is a good one.

I agree with you and cowboys19. Julius isn't the Vanderjagt/Bledsoe of the running back position. He's not playing at such a ridiculously poor level that a change is needed.

With that said, Barber is forcing Parcells' hand. He's just too valuable and you see his carries increasing every game. He's breaking some intermediate gainers and is always reliable for a respectable gain. Julius SEEMS more hit and miss, but that could be me.

The thing about Barber is that he used to just be a third-down, role player. Now he's the third-down back, the short-yardage back, the goal-line back, the run-out-the-clock back, and the don't-fumble-away-the-game back.

He's swallowing up all the important roles. It seems like the only thing Julius really has the stranglehold on is the first-half back. Julius starts, and Marion finishes.

I like the rotation though, and I think we'll lose a little bit of Barber's "violent" style if he's carrying the rock 25 times. I don't see how he can run with such force on every carry game after game.

I also suspect that Julius' style may match up better against certain defenses. Lastly, I also liked how we used both in the backfield together for that play today. I love seeing new wrinkles added with these two backs. They're both pretty durn good.

And I have been a BIG fan of JJ.
But with the surge by MBIII, I really can't stand the unsaid: That Barber Tres is our best, most productive running back at this time.
He deserves to be a starter.
Now, if there is an incentive clause that prevents
Barber Tres from being named, that is one thing. If nothing else stands in the way, I say reward the young man. He's earned it with grit and determination and hard hitting he has taken.
It's not as if JJ would be banished from the team or even benched.
Just give Barber Tres his due. He certainly deserves it.
