I see the Boys are slipping in all the polls. 3rd best, some 4th's and even a 5th or two. I hope they keep sliding out of the perch. Nothing good comes of being on top in the beginning of the season. Everybody's got their A game waiting for you. The Cowboys are a better team when it's them against the world, especially on the road.

Let's face it, they just play better away from home. Most of their most memorable games last year were at Buffalo, New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago. They won all their road games except their last.

I hope they're plenty disrespected and pissed off when the head to Washington and NY. That's when they play loose.

Well then let's hope they get a wildcard spot and have to play every game on the road, cause we play lousy at home.

I like it better, honestly, when everyone in the media and such thinks we've got no shot or doesn't care what we're doing and spend all their time praising someone else.

It makes it that much more sweet if we do what we're capable of and beat people each week.

They were fat and happy with a bye.

Replay that game in NY and no rest. Might have been a little different.

The hardest thing about beating the Giants in the playoffs last year is we had to do it for the 3rd FRICKIN time.

Strahan will tell you who the best team they played all year was.

People say Romo choked or Dallas Choked. Well so did Garcia, Favre, and Brady. So did the Bucs, Packers, and Patriots.

What polls are these? Are these polls created by former players, coaches, etc.? Or are these polls created by the media?

If these are media polls, I doubt that players throughout the league really care what they think. It's hard to respect the opinion of someone who has never laced up their cleats to play football, much less someone who never played in the NFL. Of course, they would probably be more receptive to someone's opinion which is based on experiencing first-hand what it takes to win or lose at this level.

For example, I would bet that many players would be interested in how Michael Strahan would grade each team while I doubt many would care at all what John Clayton thinks. I think that the primary motivation for playing at a top level will come from a personal fear of failure and/or the lower expectations from their peers both around and outside the league.
