contract year makes you feel really good for some reason.

Interesting that we didn't pick up his option for his 5th year. Anyone know why we did it so soon? Is there a cutoff date? I'm also curious if he would be rushing back to the field so quickly if it wasn't his contract year?

Really? He had a very solid rookie year, a solid second half to his 2nd year (when healthy), and barely played his 3rd year. Where is this "plenty of opportunity" you talk about? The fact is, he has been hurt, a lot. He hasn't played in a preseason game in his career.

Well, we can agree that he has had some awful games and he was on the field.
We can also agree he's been hurt a lot.

So the conclusion can be drawn he shouldn't have been on the field and the blame would fall on the organization for putting him out there and hurting the team. If that's what you're saying that's a pretty big indictment of the coaching staff and medical team who allowed it to happen.

But, I sincerely hope he can stay healthy and finally meet the expectations of a high first round pick.

I am a fan of Mo largely because he gets unfairly dog-piled.

He really needs to put it together and save his career but he has all the talent in the world and he is in the world's greatest talent business.

I'd say he's had a lot more solid-good games than "awful."

As I said - I'm rooting for him and will be happily surprised if he lives up to the pick. BTW - if he does our secondary is going to be outstanding and we will have some pretty decent depth too. It could let Jones concentrate on safety also.

Hope it translates. Would be great if we could get a solid season out of him.
