I vaguely remember back in the day there was a charity basketball game where notables such as Aikman, Emmitt & Larry Allen participated in. Does anyone else remember this at all?

Is there any known footage on the web?

Don't know but yes they played. They may have played more than once a year for charity or for fun. Not sure about now. Some contracts forbid that kind of activity I think.

I don't remember seeing anything on it . I do remember about that time there was a slam dunk competition and a guy named Spud Webb won it.

I loved that day. Now there are small guys all around the league, but Spud was the first to dunk (and win a contest). He was good for the league. I wonder where he is now.

As far as the Cowboys, I remember Everson Walls and some others participating in a Cowboys basketball game for charity. I don't know if they still do that.

Read the book Boys will be Boys by Jeff Pearlman. Tells you what happened to that Charity Basketball Team. The Playmaker Michael Irvin killed that team.

Not sure they do those much anymore. Probably because of contracts, saying they can't participate in activities that can cause major injuries.

I remember watching one of these games back in the 70's, Bengals and Browns. Bengals lost 2 players and Browns 1 due to injuries.
