I would imagine no, but it's that time of year. Also I'm not sure how old you are but in the late 70's and early 80's the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders was world renowned. If you did know anything about the Dallas Cowboys football team, it's a safe bet that you did hear of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
They even made a movie for TV of them and several spinoff shows.

Oh, I remember the 70s and 80s well. I remember Tommy Loy playing the National Anthem before the games. I remember them releasing balloons before the games. I remember the cheerleaders, trust me. I just don't EVER remember hearing about a cheerleader "retiring." But like you said, it's the offseason. Obviously nothing that important happening, besides the draft anyway.....

They currently have a reality show on CMT called Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making The Team. It's the longest running CMT show so they're still popular. Jerry Jones mandates that they remain a revenue-producing entity, so I'm sure the TV show helps.
