Michael is getting cut in near future. Looking forward to the rueage.

Randal is getting traded, you don't do a leaping whirling dervish at the goal line without consequences. The plan is coming together.

That's my guess too.....And I'm ok moving on from McFadden....Kid looks like he's got some size. maybe he can pick up a blitz:)...because McFadden sure didn't want any part of that action last Sunday....

There were two big backs on Cincy's roster that I was eyeing in the preseason (similar to this kid) so I'm kinda liking this move

Chrun baby churn.

So many around here complaining about RB corp should give the FO some credit for bring in Michael and now Smith. At least we aren't sitting still. We're making moves and addressing the situation.

I just wish that it didn't take till week 6 for the FO to figure out that Randle and McFadden suck..............I could have told them that in preseason.

But you are right, better late than never to address a mistake.

Then who is the #2 back?

I don't get this at all, if we also have 2 more RB's in for workouts today as well as 2 other positions (DT and WR). Why claim this guy now ? Did they not think he would be there after the workouts i.e. someone else would have claimed him ?
Does that now make the RB workouts a waste of time ? So if we do like one or more of the 4 guys we are bringing in for a look, now we have to get rid of some more guys.
I get the "churn baby churn" theory. But it is starting to feel like the 2013 season all over again, where we would sign multiple DE's and they were starting the next week. Felt like we went thru about 30 of them. Are we that desperate already ???
Somebody explain ...

Well, when its week 6 and all of a sudden you have an epiphany that your RBs all suck................well, some level of desperation does start to seep in.

Bruegler called him a poor man's Carlos Hyde, or thereabouts. Which gets my attention, except for the 'poor mans' part. Love the size, but this guy is here for his ST contributions, if anything, I think. Though it'd be interesting to see them line up some big backs and try to beat teams that stack the box into submission. Team it up with the picks to uncover our shifty WRs and borrow what NE did to us until at least Tony gets back.

Not that I think that can realistically happen. I do like the big backs, though, given what we want (or need) to do on offense.

Not sure really. Part of me wonders if the line is playing like last year but our backs are not running the same way Demarco ran last year. Timing, patience, tackle breaking, hole selection, ect... We may have just had a perfect combination of chemistry with the line and Murray. Something that worked very well for both Murray and the OL.

Our they could be playing without their two best offensive players allowing teams to put 9 guys in the box?
