Cowboys Commanders picks Let's Hear Them

I say Cowboys 31 Washington 38.

Once again, Romo chokes and his fans say it's a team sport.
So I'm guessing 14 of Washington's 38 is coming from Romo pick 6's?

Otherwise it's hard to blame Romo for losing a game in which the D allows almost a 40 burger.

Not sure, but I think that's the largest loss margin so far?

No it wont ....... your agenda is too important to you.

You are hoping we lose.

31-14 Dallas. I will be celebrating in Sao Paulo and converting Brazilians over to Cowboy-ism

The Skins defense is atrocious.

Maybe. But, last week I don't feel like either the Commanders or Cowboys played with the emotional intensity on defense that will be requisite to win this weekend. I also feel that it was human nature for both teams to somewhat look past last week to this game. I sure know I was as a fan...the Philly game just didn't give nearly the same amount of jitters and anxious tension as this weekend.

I feel that the raw emotional energy of this game is going to lead to fired up performances from both defenses...particularly in the red zone where the yards start to get tough. I also wouldn't be surprised to see both offenses somewhat tentative and nervous early. I think the score was 3-0 at the end of the first quarter in the first game. I don't expect a 28 point explosion by either team in one quarter this time...obviously. I feel at that point we went into "prevent" mode both offensively and defensively...and that made things too close for comfort on Thanksgiving.

Look at how the Seattle defense was flying around against the 49ers last weekend...I expect that from both defenses, particularly early on in the game. Hard-hitting with first downs at a premium. Playoff intensity.

That being said, I think Alfred Morris could be a difference maker for us, but only if we get a 7-10 point lead and can really start using him on some time-consuming drives (as we did on the long but key FG drive when Dallas closed to 35-28 at Thanksgiving).

I expect a 20-17 or 23-20 type game. Can only hope my Skins are on the positive end of it.

Cowboys 34
Commanders 31

With 1:05 left. two timeouts, Cowboys on their own 15. Romo drives the team down the field.. five seconds left on the Commanders 10.. Romo in the shotgun, finds Ogletree all alone for the winning TD

Honestly I think who ever has the ball last will win.

Missing on offense for either all or most of the last Commanders game:
  • Miles Austin
  • Tyron Smith
  • Ryan Cook
  • DeMarco Murray
  • Kevin Ogletree
Felix Jones was banged up and only got six carries.

So Romo had to try and rally Dallas with two back-up O-linemen, a third string running back and, at the time, the fourth and fifth receivers playing the second and third role.

The Commanders are going to score because the defense is no better than it was in November, but I think Dallas has a much better shot here than they did in the first game. I think Dallas pulls out a very hard fought game.

I'm thinking of just the opposite side of the ball.

How many defensive players that were out there during the last game (when even that defense was lit up) are out or at far less than 100%?

I know Bruce Carter won't be flying around the field this time around.

Then again, hopefully McCray isn't out there completely blowing coverages again either.

Kind of joking, right?

You think the worst loss of the season, by far, will be this weekend?

McCray was killing us.
Carter got hurt during the game.
We've actually added a couple of players that are playing fairly well since then.

And like was said earlier, the oline is much better now, Murray is back, Tyron Smith is healthy, Austin is healthy, and Harris is getting more reps. Plus, Tony has been playoing really well. He seemed a bit off that game.

we play better on the road so this is actually a better situation this time around. Cowboys 32 Commanders 21

Well it is supposed to be a team sport, but atleast Romo is the one reason we have any chance in any game this year it seems.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not disputing that the offense - and Romo specifically - is playing much better.

But, that said, the defense is falling apart and just trying to hang on and keep it together.

And it is losing players each game.

Who will win and what score

Fed Ex Field will be louder than its 1997 debut come Sunday Night.

We're 6-0 since the BYE and I see no real reason why the streak ends at Week 17....a LOUD Fed Ex Field....division title on the line.....to sweep the arch rival and send them home. Rg3 is prepared for another shootout VS the Cowboys because I totally expect both offenses to compensate for their spotty defenses with a FG winning a close game.

34 Skins
31 Boys

Commanders score 38 and Romo chokes - typical

I say 31-28 Cowboys

We are 4-2 in the last 6 and I picked us to lose everyone. So don't mess with my mojo

I would agree with the defense. They started a streak of "bad" from that point forward and now at least the offense knows they have to put up points to win. I really think the key is Romo and Murray not giving the ball to the Commanders though. Romo threw two picks in that first game and Murray's fumble crushed us against the Saints. The Commanders D should be at just as big a disadvantage this time around in my opinion. Barring lopsided turnover margin, it is probably a game where the last team with the balls wins.
