Already proven himself to be a knucklehead, no thank you.
I say bring him in and see if he can make the team. Maybe he's turned the corner. It's a cheap look.

Not a bad idea, actually. He plays well and makes the team, you hope he plays through the whole season without a slip up than let him walk in '18. Hopefully someone pays big and the team scores a comp pick out of it or at least uses it to offset another signing.
So the almost there, but not there guy.
The Cardinals still had him under contract for $3 million, but they had already moved on. Karlos Dansby 04/2, Deone Buchanon 14/1, and Haason Reddick 17/1 are their inside linebackers.
Players with past problems are better off with a new team.Word is that the Cards wanted Washington back but wanted to restructure his contract. A heavily incentive based vet minimum contract. Washington said no deal. Dansby is old, Buchanon is small and got blown off the ball a lot last year (even the local homer media agrees that this was true), and Reddick is a rookie.
You do have good points. More important stop wasting valuable picks and significant salary cap $ on these knuckleheads. But to your point, even if he does help us some this year, at what cost.So many fans are sitting here saying: "Can't hurt. Get him cheap and give him a shot".
However, if Dallas did and he played well in 2017 - and then did something dumb, getting suspended in 2018 - the fan base would be roasting the Cowboys for bringing in a guy that can't be trusted.
How many of the people saying give him a shot would also complain next year in the above scenario?
My guess is a whole **** load of them.
The problem isn't the money spent... it is what happens if he's still very good? Do you rely on him? Do you not? Will he be here the next season? Do you draft a LB or not? Will he effect the locker room in a negative way? Will he help it in a positive way? If so, what happens when he gets suspended again?
It simply isn't worth the effort and the time spent with him.
I learned a valuable lesson with McClain.
