Cowboys' Darren McFadden: In line for more touches

Although he stopped short of naming Darren McFadden his new starting running back, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett did indicate that the veteran would get more touches going forward, DallasCowboys.com reports. "I thought he was outstanding," Garrett said. "I think anybody who watched the game had to have been impressed by his performance. You saw him run inside, you saw him run off tackle and you saw him run outside. He made a lot of big plays in the game, he had a lot of dirty runs in the game. Just really, really played a complete football game and that's a well as we've run the football all year long and we have to continue to build on that."

Joseph Randle was sidelined Sunday by a re-occurrence of an oblique injury that he initially suffered in the preseason, and if he's unable to go in Week 8, McFadden would be in line for another big workload. If Randle is healthy enough to play though, expect a timeshare once again between them, although McFadden could be the one seeing the greater share of carries.

Yuck... McFadden had a great game against the Giants, but I'm still not a fan... I wish he wasn't even on the team, but hopefully he can make me eat my words...

I really don't understand peoples hate for DMC around here. He has been good in pass block and pass catching throughout his time here, seems like he is getting comfortable running the ball behind this line now. He is on a bargain deal and is a vet who has been saying all the right things, I'm all for giving him an opportunity to shine. He looked great against the Giants.

Dmc is the best pass blocker and although I'm not sold on his running.. he is faster than any other back we have and he seems like he secures the rock better than Randle.

This staff needs to be more inclined to make much-needed changes than what they've been. Trudging along by hesitating to take charge of implementing change has been one of their festering problems for far too long now.

DMC has demonstrated his ability to step up our offensive production only after failings have lingered. I hope the staff also sees fit to avoid getting DMC injured by overworking him more than his body is able to sustain.

I also hope they'll see fit to permit C-Mike more reps in the running game before DMC gets injured. Continued use of him to the extent that he was in last Sunday's game would likely ensure that happening. The staff must be respectful of his past injury history if we're going to preserve him for the games that follow. Common sense.

He's earned them.

As long as he continues to finish runs like he did this weekend. I didn't necessarily see that in the previous weekend....
And he would do himself a great service if he picks his feet up higher when he runs... turf monster be eating him up.

He already did and he's gonna keep going to.

McFadden is by far the best back on this team.

You wanna keep having Joseph Randle start? How has that worked out for Dallas so far?
