"don't pay Dak bc we won't be able to spend on fixing the rest of the team"

Idiots..Cowboys dont spend on fixing the rest of the team even when the qb is playing for peanuts

That's no excuse to lock ourselves into mediocrity with Daks contract.

Well, when you’ve signed one big free agent (Carr) in 10 years, what do you expect?

1000% ....this is why I don't understand the narrative of Dak's deal will prevent them from signing other good players. They don't spend on the elite free agents and more times than not, their own player only gets a 2nd contract if he adds at least one pro-bowl to his resume ( some haven't noticed but the truth is there).

Cowboys have paid their own very well when Tyron was a FA he got paid top money, Frederick was paid top money, Martin top money, Zeke top money, DLaw top money and Cooper top money. Dallas in looking at outside FA have avoided over spending avoiding over paying for players that often do not live up to the contract and have been able to keep out cap in good order.

Good point.

That’s not what he’s saying. What he’s saying is you guys think not signing Dak will result in spending money and it won’t. All it will do is give them more money to re-sign guys to huge deals lol. We’ve seen this story before let’s not pretend like we don’t know the Cowboys blueprint.
