That’s been my position all off season once I saw the schedule and the team we had.

I only responded cause I saw your 8-2 prediction. I haven’t seen anyone who has had higher prediction than 5-4 or 6-3.

Anyone of course is entitled to their opinion. But it certainly helps if there is some evidence and or stats to support.

Lol @ “the strawman” response. The most overused, overrated logical fallacy in the history of the cowboyszone. Half the people who use it don’t even know what it applies to or use it correctly but one person said it years ago so others follow along without using proper context. Comical.

Your strawman comment directed at me is nothing but a hasty generalization, which is actually the most common fallacy on this site but it doesn’t sound as cool. Maybe I can change that!

It’s really hard to come up with meaningful stats or evidence this early in the season which is why I said it’s just my gut feeling. Are the Eagles that good and we were a dropped pass away from possibly besting them at home? Are the Giants that bad that they only scored 6 points against Washington before they hung almost 40 on us a week later? Is the Giants defense really that bad that they’re last or almost last in several categories and/or is their DC that much of an idiot for playing zone all the time when they have 4 talented dlineman that can get after a QB? Is our defense that bad that we were respectable against Philthy but slop against NY?

Lots of questions, I just gave a guess. I think our offense will be what carries this team. So far, there aren’t many teams (GB being an exception) that are coming up over the next 8 games that I don’t think we should beat with maybe one or two exceptions. Of course it’s the NFL so throughout the season, including the next 8 games I’m sure there will be teams we beat that we should have lost to and vice versa. So sure, maybe we go 7-3 before we hit that rough stretch but I bet we beat some of those teams everyone marked as L at the beginning of the season, looking right at you KC.

That’s why I try not to overreact after a player or a team has one bad or one good game. Let’s revisit the “overall body of work” at the bye when we will have a much better idea of who all these teams really are.

They have also played the Eagles and an underrated Giants team.

Wilson is just starting to settle in in NY. I expect a big year for him, honestly.

He looks great on film, especially with Nabers.

Nabers is a problem, so is Scattebo

Someone in the draftzone was really high in Scattebo pre-draft and it looks like they were onto something. Good player.

Thos guys paired up are a nightmare. Plus, Wilson is smart.

Possibly. I don't even like the term and hate myself for using it!!!! And I agree that it's grossly overused!!!!

Our defense made a QB on his last legs look in SB form as Wilson threw for about 450 yards. And that was after they were flagged for almost 200 yards in penalties. How many leads did we give up. Truly incredible.

I can’t recall coming away from a win so discouraged. This defense is even worse than I imagined. Could be our worse defense this era . And we’ve had some bad ones.

This should be NO surprise. We were 7th in the league with Micah and 29th without him last year. Give away a generational player to keep Dak. Good move!

Hahaha, yeah…I was actually going to tag Diehard and get it out of the way. I saw this coming, embarrassing. I figured our defense, specifically secondary would be our biggest weakness, but I thought the Bears trotting out their decimated secondary would offset that.

Unbelievable, f’in losers. All I can say is maybe I’ll still be right, lol? Green Bay lost to Cleveland so maybe they’re not as invincible as everyone thinks but I’m still figuring that in as a loss, so maybe 7-3?
