Cowboys defense ranked 30

I‘ve started several threads since the game, all about the game and the players and attacked relentlessly by YOU and the rest of them. So quit your damn lying.
I haven’t responded to any of your threads since the game .

Well, you sure have attacked me elsewhere.
See, you lied . And now you’re backpedaling.

And I stay on message until shots are fired. I’m not walking away like others.

We are allowed to attack any aspect of the Cowboys without being attacked, insulted or called out by other fans. And if you can’t uphold the rules I’ll be reporting you.

What adjustments were made in the secondary after the 1st long completion, after the second?
What adjustments were made when it was obvious the 4 man rush was not going to get home?

I had some hope in the DC when he made adjustment in the second half of the Eagles game. Ok the game plan going in is not working then switch some things up, switch to man enough to keep them guessing, bring a extra guy every once in awhile.

Things were not working early in the game and I did not see a lot of adjustments, just the secondary confused and talking it over with themselves on the side line.

Where is the coaching on that side of the ball.

I haven’t insulted you so please with the childish threats.

I thought Clark played well. Thomas had some good moments, as did Murray in this one. Elam was mostly toast. Sanborn looked slow. Not much pressure from EZ. Did Fowler even play this week?

Among our returning players, our highly paid corner Diggs did not have a good game. We haven't got much pressure from our highly paid 3-tech, which is supposed to be a top pressure position in this scheme. Our other highly paid corner didn't play. Not sure if the safeties were out of position in the zone or if it was all on the corners.
Not a lot of mention of Osa, a Eberflus D works best when the 3 tech is providing consistent pressure.

You attempt to discredit me personally cause you don’t have an argument on my message . And now calling me a hater.

You obviously haven’t dealt with me before. I’m a stubborn old fart. I will offer my critical analysis without being insulted personally.

I welcome any arguments you have on the subject of the thread. Otherwise whizz off.

I’m a stubborn ole fart as well. See, we do have something in common. And if I had told you to whizz off, you would report me.

Well, most of us knew that Osa isn't an elite 3-tech. He's a solid player who we expect to be great. Now, he doesn't have a pass rusher like Parsons to get all the attention and make it easier on everyone else. Teams handle our ends one-on-one, so Osa and Clark have to fight through combo blocking.

You don't get pressure from front 4 and very little from 3 tech, veteran QB's will pick Eberflus's zone apart.

Easy fix...

Fire Eberflus if he refuses to go to man on coverage.

Go to man coverage with help over the top.

With Clowney added, alternate as starters at DE with Houston, Fowler, Williams and Ezeiruaku who can bring the heat along the edge.

Play your best coverage LBs who can also tackle. That means playing Liafau much more. Get rid of one of the LBs, and bring old man Kendricks back. He is a tackling machine who is also good in coverage.

Problem fixed.

Lies. YOU will blame Dak!
I'm not a believer that Dak is the guy who will lead us to a championship. Back in 2023, I decided I was being way too wishy washy on my stance and had to take a firmer stance. I've never said that I thought that Dak was a bad quarterback, just that he isn't clutch when it comes to the big game or the playoffs. He's played fairly well the last two games. Is he a top 5 or even a top 10 quarterback in the league? Not in my book, but I consider myself to have higher standards on what I consider to be in that ranking than others. Dak can prove me wrong; the Greenbay game is coming. You got Dallas in the Win column on that one?

Diggs appears to be a problem as well. He obviously isn’t a 100%.

And why wasn’t Clowney on a roster?

To be fair, there are a bunch of players on the defense we haven't seen yet. There is no doubt it will look much different in a few weeks.

The other side of the coin, just one week ago we were all praising out defense for the way they played against Philly. It's still a week to week league.

So to say it's the worst this era after one bad game is something I can't buy into.
Jerry supporters praised the week 1 defense.

We have ample issues on this roster. Dak is helping keep this team afloat . Those other broader opinions have no bearing on our immediate situation.

That seems probable. It's why we signed Clowney because he knows we need pressure but he doesn't like to blitz.

Second-half defense was quite good. Allowed three points, kept the running game and hurts in check. First-half defense was quite awful. Against the Giants, the defense was mostly just awful.
