With only 45 days till the NFL Draft we are starting to see teams narrow there options and announcing visits. It’s the time of year you see just as much smoke as you do fire. The Cowboys have already announced a few individual visits with North Dakota St OT Billy Turner, Iowa TE CJ Fiedorowicz, Liberty DB Walt Aikens, Arizona St DL Davon Coleman and Oregon DE Taylor Hart.

I was recently told the Cowboys have very little interest in adding any of the premier Safety’s in this class with the 16th selection or early in this draft at all. As it appears now you can cross Alabama S Clinton Dix or Louisville S Calvin Pryor off the list unless they drop significantly into the 2nd round.

If Barr is there at 16 (highly unlikely) you have to pull the trigger. I have seen where he is compared to Ware.
I agree he's one of those can't pass up on type players that could be Randy Moss to us all over again. More realistically though I'm hoping for Donald in the first and pray a DE falls to us in the second. Ford would be amazing, but Trent Murphy or Kareem Martin also seem to fit perfectly in this defense.

Faster and bigger than DeMarcus Ware, Ealy has the size 6.4 HT, 273 lbs. and speed - 4.57 40 yard dash to play 4/3 DE at a high level, his stock will continue to rise.

Barr, Mack and Clowney will all be gone by the time our pick comes - book it.

If they are looking for a TE then the Escobar pick is a waste. I did not like that pick last year anyway.

The problem is that he doesn't look like a 4.57 guy when you watch him. His motor leaves a lot to be desired. We can say that Marinelli will get the most out of him but let's be honest--he likely won't stay on for the new head coach.

Honestly the 250 lb DE/OLB type playing 4/3 DE is likely going to get squashed and thrown around a lot worse than DWare.

The trade they mention would actually be in our favor. Atleast by the value chart.

That's because 1/2 of his tape is him playing a 2 and sometimes 3 gap assignment. He didn't rush from the edge nearly enough for mizzu, but he definitely showed flashes of being able to beat the OT, bend the corner, and get to the QB. Forget the 40, look at his 3 cone time. He's long, has enough bulk, and has elite short area quickness. Too many people are selling him short in my opinion.
