Cowboys draft picks update

and once again what difference does it make?
only to those that think participation trophies mean something.

in this day and age when nearly half the teams in the NFL make the playoffs, it means little when you know your team does not have a snowballs chance down below to do ANYTHING even if they get there.
We all know the Cowboys should have rebuilt after the Green Bay playoff disaster. It is what it is with our owner.

3-4-1 is not fighting for a playoff spot in any sane persons mind
I don’t think anyone is saying that the playoffs are likely but we are about 2.5-3 games behind Philly with 8 games to go so the playoffs are not out of the question.

only a massive improvement in the D would mean anything but another participation trophy

That may or may not happen. But it’s not outside the realm of possibility that the incoming players and players getting well might make a real difference. Of course they may not, and if there are no signs of life then I am all about team tank for draft picks.

It sucks that we can’t trade either one of the 2027 first round picks until after the 2026 season.

I would have liked to have the option to trade one of them for picks in the upcoming draft.

As it stands we have no day two picks at all.

I forgot that rule. sucks for us
but then we are talking Natural Gas Man so....

Having two top 20 picks is very sweet. Gives us lots of maneuverability and power to do pretty much whatever we want.

Yep. We will pretty much own the draft and practically be unstoppable. Especially with Jerry running things…..

I am really thinking that trading back with both would be a good idea assuming we could get decent deals

The only real blue chips in the first rd are pretty much top 5 which we have no shot at

IF we could pick up a 2nd and 3rd at least that would really help.

These picks also have a chance to get even better:

-Cowboys may play Milton once they get eliminated from the playoffs. Not this week, but there is a good chance for the final two games.

-Packers just lost Parsons and Watson yesterday. They are fighting to win their division, but could potentially fail to make the postseason, where more likely will be the final wildcard team.

I do think we think can be in play for Downs, maybe Bailey.

They may be eliminated Saturday night if Philly wins.

They will be preparing with Dak this week, think starting Milton becomes more of a thing against Washington.
When has Jerry not tried to win. If Dak is healthy he will start and end every game the rest of the season. Jerry is as old school as they come. Dak is highest paid player in the league. Jerry won’t sit him just because of his salary. As a matter of fact Dak would not want to sit.
