Howard Katz the NFL's Sr. VP of Broadcasting is on Chris Russo's show on Sirius and basically said that the Cowboys-Eagles game in week 17 is "highly unlikely" to be the flexed for Sunday Night.
Basically, Katz said that NBC has to flex a somewhat even amount of games belonging to FOX and CBS. For instance, there are 42 National Games per year between NBC, ESPN, and the NFL Network. Those games can not exceed a balance of 23-19 betwen what would normally be a FOX or CBS game.
So far this year the balance is 21-20 on these national games with Fox or NFC having 21 games on one of these other networks. It is more likely they will even things out with an AFC or CBS game in week 17. Katz did say its not impossible to flex the Dallas game but "highly unlikely." Jets-Miami is a prime target to be flexed.
