From a quick google search, he sounds like more of a run stuffer. He doesn't sound like a pass rusher at all.

sounds like what the team needs heading into a showdown with two excellent running teams.

we have a number of those tweener types to run straight into the lineman and do nothing. now we need a run stopper to do the same.

Good. As much as I like Kiffin and Marinelli's idea of having 4 "Rushmen" on the Dline, it is not very feasable UNLESS you are fortunate enough to have 2 STUD DT's in the middle of your line that are equally great at stopping the run AND rushing the passer. Detroit has Suh and Fairley.......what OTHER team can say they have a tandem like that?

I have long been a proponent of the Dlines that the Vikings had with the WIlliams Wall and what Zimmer has in Cincy - a great 3T that can disrupt both the run and pass game (Kevin Williams & Geno Atkins) coupled with a TRUE 1T run-stuffing, 325+ behemoth (Pat Williams & Domata Peko). I hope that Dallas starts leaning this way. Because 1T's like Hayden prove that, when they can't do either very well and (maybe most importantly) COMMAND DOUBLE TEAMS TO FREE UP THE OTHER 3 RUSHERS, the whole unit collapses. THAT is why Hayden has been consistently rated as one of the worst DT's this year.

As soon as I read they were looking @ other teams practice squads...I took a look to see what was out there. Let's just say the cupboard was bare. Not a lot of options. I'm still waiting for a decent FS

At this point, there are not anymore good pass rushers available, so I guess solidifying the run somewhat is not the worse case scenario? I mean, better than doing nothing.
