He's an inside linebacker.Shemar James should have a good year .

He's an inside linebacker.
Wasn't he being considered as an OLB coach? Not sure who we are interviewing for that role. So far we've got Green Bay's passing game coordinator, Arizona's assistant cornerbacks coach, Minnesota's defensive line coach and Georgia's outside linebackers coach. Other than the Cardinals' coach, we seem to be picking coaches who showed some success in their area of expertise. So Orr still very much in play
I don't see it. The outside guys are going to be your defensive ends. He and Overshown should be ILBs in the 3-4/five-man front. I expect James to be a backup, though, to whoever we get to essentially be the MIKE.No he’s outside. He’s not nearly big enough to handle a Mike situation 17 games. Around 220 LBS .
Yes, I was going to post that as well. But never got back to it.OLB means he teaches the edge pass rushers.
Are you in favor of keeping the old boys club together?
Yeah since you were the leaderAre you in favor of keeping the old boys club together?
I replied clapping to "The old boys club is over" so what the hell are you talking about?Yeah since you were the leader
Hopefully he puts a stop to the coaches making it rain and stuff
Probably not. That was his college job title. Not sure it means much as far as our scheme"Outside" linebackers coach is the interesting tidbit here. Maybe there is substance to the 3-4 rumors.
That was his last job in college coaching. Previously he was a dline coachOLB means he teaches the edge pass rushers.
It would be very interesting if we drafted CJ Allen and pickup Quay Walker and Nakobe Dean during free agency.*looks up prospects for draft* CJ Allen expected 1st round LBer from Georgia. Hmmmmmmm.![]()

Last year, Eberflus mainly stuck with four-man fronts. I think we'll primarily use four-man fronts this year when we are in nickel (which will be most of the time). If James plays when we are in five-man or three-man fronts, he'll be an "inside linebacker" as one of the only two real LBs out there. Same with Liufau. Same with Overshown. I doubt we will see very many sets where we have three true linebackers out there. We may have one on some plays with an extra DB, but we'll have two LBs most of the time. If it is a five-man or three-man front, they will be considered ILBs.Going by what he played last year . They tried Sanborn in the middle then Logan Wilson ended up with Murray . James not big enough to withstand the middle . I think James and Overshown outside with a Sonny Styles in the middle 6’5” 243 coming aboard . And in year 3 this is make or break for Liufau . Is he just ST or can he play NFL LB ?
